It's clearly not the same as it was 6 years ago,it's completely different not only in the ice but in the world in general,just see how much fashion has changed since then,ho w can you compare how things were in 2014 to how things are now.

@hr things are different now even from 2018, the competition has evolved, you can’t rely on component score now, you have to do quads, this is a whole different animal. I feel for zagitova in that regard because it is hard for her to learn quads, and she might not compete in the olympics again. I am perfectly happy to watch her shows though, and she will always be #1 in my book just because of her story, and her performances.

Yes, it's truly phenomenal. Clearly the best in the world WHILE she was competing, no question. They literally had to CHANGE THE RULES because of her!! Look it up, there's a rule in her name (placement of elements after the half-way mark time stamp, I believe). At the time she skated these programs they were the best singles performance I had ever seen. Remarkable. A natural if there ever was one. ~JSV

I will not pretend to know much about figure skating, but I watched this entire competition and I liked her programs the best (especially the short program). same! i can see why some people (especially people with more FS knowledge than me) wouldn’t like backloading, but it certainly makes for an exciting second half and it fits well with her music.

Но Женю так подгоняли к Алине что еще совсем немножко, и она бы победила . Но это уже была бы победа с ошибками.
