ahh I still missed the old Kapkan, it was so much harder to get kills because of the laser, but anytime you caught anyone off-guard with a weird AF placement and got a kill with it, it was sooooo worth it

I honestly miss the times when shields were viable. Now the blitz shield barely stops half the shots coming at your direction even when you crouch walk.

you forgot to add that hibana use to counter bandit tricking in a way back than. because back in red crow when she came out "if" her pellets were already on the wall before bandit could get one of his battery on the wall, then it would "not" destroy the hibana pellets and they would just go off anyway with the wall still being electrified by the bandit battery.

I think it would have cool to see the several major changes to some of the ops Glaz and Blitz ,for instance, were significantly changed at multiple stages, where each update to the character was a drastic change.

i remember each meta where they reworked right after, kinda felt like they sucked the life out of this game patch after patch

I started playing when Zero was released but I think that the lightning and some of the textures in older versions of the game looks better.

Watching a few of these, like IQ and Pulse makes me just thank god for what we have now. Others though, not so much.

In Black Ice, Frost's shotgun is much stronger than it is now. She used to have a nitro cell. Frost now has a secondary shotgun and her welcome mats can't hide in plants anymore. Buck's shotgun attachment couldn't open up walls like it does now and he used to have frags. Thermite used to have frag grenades at release. IQ's sensor can see through smoke at launch and the screen is clearer in the beta than at launch. Her sensor used to detect all friendly gadgets, and she could see Hibana's x-kairos and Fuze's cluster charge being launched and bouncing off surfaces. Ubisoft exchanged her stuns for frags, then to claymore. IQ's G8A1 would have less ammo before Amaru's debut in Ember Rise. Tachanka's turret made a lot of noise when you turn. You could easily make holes in Castle's barricades before the buff. Castle's M45 MEUSOC has been replaced by the Super Shorty. Rook's armor bag can be used to block drone holes, now they can't. In Dust Line, Valkyrie can throw 4 black eye cameras and can be thrown outside during preparation phase. Jackal can track bombers' footprints and scan them to locate them. Mute's jammers did get buffs later on. Twitch has a different default outfit at release. Capitão's smoke's bolts used to be colored blue. Finka can heal teammates now since North Star. Caveira' pistol has seen nerfs. Clash's machine pistol was originally burst fire, not automatic. At launch and during beta, all attackers (Including Thermite and Sledge) except Montagne have breach charges. They changed the voice actresses for Hibana, Mira and IQ. There's the attachment rework and removal of ACOG for many operators, especially defenders. Ace's S.E.L.M.A. can open up walls more with a third detonation, and the size of the opening can be compared to Thermite's. Now his S.E.L.M.A. only detonates twice. Oryx's dash towards a wall originally would damage his health by 10. Oryx used to have the MP5, now he has the T-5 SMG. Mozzie loses his Super Shorty. Eight attackers now have GONNE-6 as an option for a sidearm. They disabled night time versions of all maps a couple of seasons ago. There are more changes I haven't listed yet.

I really miss old siege I wish they would do a game mode or an event mode where everything is fevered it to the old ways just for a week or so with the new operators god that would be awesome

Personally I miss old Kapkan. I know it could be considered unbalanced as it was a one shot, but if had a bright ass laser, and there was only three of em, felt balanced to me.

I see all the clips and videos of old siege and wish i had gotten to play years 1 and 2. I didnt start until i think year 4.(i started late shifting tides whenever that was) I get nostalgia for something i never experienced and wish i could have experienced. Old siege just looks fun.

Interesting thing at 3:47. I remember an episode on Six on Six, Interro and Canadian's R6S podcast, where meepey talked about in PL finals his team lost a round to a flank because at the time you couldn't have two drones up and one of their flank one drones disappeared for a site drone.

Hopped on for the first time about a month ago in about 5 years and it took a long time to adjust. I’m pleased with how they’ve updated the maps and the operators

Needed this nostalgia this was the first game I ever got for the PlayStation 5 and spent most my teenage years grinding this old gem and fell off because of life I tried getting back into but felt like an old man trying to relearn the new maps and all the different operators and how much the game had changed thanks for this man the memories I had all came flooding back with this vid 😣❤️

Some changes were very good and reduced the bs of the game but other nerfs I think are stupid like montange’s hipfire just being useless even in pointblank range and thatcher’s emp not destroying electronics( cause that’s what EMPs do) and the emps new ability to disable defender optics which I think shouldn’t effect the 1.5 and the reflex cause those sights are battery free. In the case for the 1.5 the reticle should just turn black cause of the etched reticle all scopes have

I started playing in operation velvet I think when they added Mira and stopped playing shortly after they did the arena or whatever but this remains one of my favorite games crazy how different it is now

Love the detail of running the "Peacock" skin, 2nd or 3rd rarest skin in the game I believe. Had to play Alpha or was it Beta to get it. I think "Fire" was beta. I had it on my old account. Swapped console and ain't been able to get it back.

I've been playing since the beta. I remember all of this lol. I miss year 1 and 2 the most :C Also one of the big ones that people don't remember is that doc used to only be able to revive team mates. He couldn't heal. Also termite and glaz used to have breaching charges, same with sledge I think. IQ was actually more useful back then because there was much more softwalls and soft floors. Now mostly everything is solid walls so she can only detect gadgets, not shoot them. I think she needs a buff, some way to destroy like 3 gadgets through reinforced walls. Kali, zero, maverick, and twitch can already do those things, why not IQ? Another thing to mention is that while shields were MUCH better back in the day, they did buff most pistol damage by half. Though I'm gonna miss my PMM sniper fuze lol. I still run shield PMM but hipfiring with PMM back in the day was incredibly accurate if you paced your shots, and it was one of the only pistols to do close to 50 damage. Blackbeards shield used to have 800 health each on release and he didn't lose any speed for having them on. The SMG-11 (smokes sidearm smg) used to have an ACOG as well. You also couldn't have more than 1 drone out at a time. Twitches drone used to not be able to jump either.
