What John says about wanting to belong to a group does happen in reality and is a phenomenon that psychologists study. But I suppose as a person gets older and more mature, he will realize that one's value and identity doesn't have to come at the cost of losing one's genuinity. As one gets older, the lesser one pretends. Take for example, when I were younger I drank alcohol to look cool and feels like this is adulting. But I soon realized I really don't like the smell and taste of alcohol and I have not touched any after 22. I don't even drink in wedding.

Nice podcast episode, and as always Jonathan dropping insightful nuggets of wisdom. FYI: The brain is made of fat (grey matter), and it needs the fat because of this biological component called the myelin sheath that wraps around each neuron. So calling your brain fatter than another means you have a higher chance of slower degradation than others (unless you fail to take care of your brain). The fat's function is to ensure that the electrical signals that are passed from end to end of your neuron are well insulated and not lost, which is why with more fat, it strengthens neural pathways through the brain to allow the individual to process more effectively or retains good memory.

Podcast suggestion : only child vs child with siblings 1. Do kids hate their parents for having an only or with siblings ? 2. Are Only child stereotypes real ? 3. Do really siblings support each other when older or when parent dies ? 4. Pros and cons of being an only child /child with siblings ? 5. Sibling rivalry ? 6. Is the grass always greener on the other side ? 7. Do only child bear all the burden and struggle with grief when parent dies with no one to relate the grief with ? 8. My husband has no interest in sports at all. I am a football/soccer fan, especially the EPL (and no, not for the boys). We go about doing what we like, & I don't think we have an unhealthy relationship just because we have different interests. 😉

DRS = Drag reduction system. Rear wing opens up if you are 1s within the car in front of you at the DRS detection zone. Then you are able to utilize DRS within the DRS zone.

My SO loves korean romantic comedies. So I'll always go search for new romantic comedies on Netflix and purposely watch it when he's around just to get his attention so that we can watch together. In the end he was the one glued to it and I just hate some of these dramas cos they are so draggy and repetitive. Most of the times I just secretly just skip to the last 2 eps and be a mean ass spoiler. Only dare to do this after we are married. While we were dating, just pretend the drama is nice. 😂

Btw, Can do an episode on why and how women shame men and how they manipulate men even in office, all women department..Eg female colleagues uncomfortable whenever the male talk to a new pretty female colleagues from other department and always try to interrupt the conversation.while never interfere if talking to aunty or seniors, and how men deal with it? Isn't this act of manipulation on personal freedom? Is it consider toxic?

I actually feel the difference in the podcast with and without john. Just feels better listening to his thoughts, experience at his stage of life n diverting where needed. Im sry w/o him the podcast seems weird or lacking something, less lively. I actually never tried to impress anyone before though. I did try to like what my bf likes but still dont rlly see the interest. I will just say idm but also state it clear im not absolutely interested. So if there is someone else more interested its ok for me to be out of the pic. But if there is a slot to fill i wouldn't mind to be the filler since i enjoy this company. I think tat it's cool to be able to stay truthful in a r/s esp after marriage. But at the same time it makes me sad if one day it will happen to me that when i wanted to share smth im so interested in n my partner just has no interest and dont want to listen. I think being a listening ear is gd enough n better than bullshitting. It's ok to not uds i feel as long as one tried? Im actually impressed on the extra effort going for a chase. When i was the one hiding n away from alone time w my crush when i was younger.
