A bag, one might say, is the number one thing in a woman’s wardrobe. She accompanies us every day, anywhere. There are a great variety of sizes and styles of bags. Some have one model, and some have several.
Your favorite bag can be either a purchased model or a hand-made one. The latter is gaining popularity. You don’t always have to wear classic options; you can try something unusual and original.
Let's make a sneaker bag for walking. The most suitable fabric is denim. Here I will use blue and white colors.
There is no pattern as such, everything is done as you go.
I took a 16x23 cm rectangle as a basis. I rounded the corners and made the following diagram. I sewed the bag in 3 stages.
Front end:
- I cut out the parts and reinforced them with non-woven fabric.
- I stitched the white and blue parts, and also sewed the valves.
- Made holes for laces from metal eyelets. I attached them to the main part.
- I cut out the lining fabric and stitched it to this part.
Rear end:
- It consists of white jeans. There will be a pocket here. I sewed small rectangles along the edges of the zipper.
- I first stitched the zipper to one part and immediately stitched the lining, as a result the zipper is inside.
- I did the same with the second part.
- I sewed another lining, now it will be an internal pocket.
Side part:
- I prepared two strips, 4 cm wide and 30 cm long, and sewed a zipper between them. I also stitched the lining. Along the edges I sewed half rings on the strap for the pen.
- I measured the front part of the bag with a measuring tape and added another strip, sewing them into a circle.
- I attached the last piece with clothespins to the front part and stitched it. I trimmed the edges with a strip of lining fabric.
- This is how I stitched the back part.
- She turned the purse inside out, attached the strap and tied the laces.
A creative approach led to an original result.
