I still remember the first time I saw the last one. I jumped back and nearly fell out of my chair cause I was starting up portal 2 which is a (mostly) light hearted game. The first one was actually the 2004 intro without the trembling effects. The version shown here was just the 2004 version. Also, the latest Valve intro wasn't 2015, it was 2012 debuting with CS:GO (but was later replaced with a intro that had no Valve head)

There might be a message behind the intros. "Open your eyes" "Open your mind" For those that don't understand this, it's simple: In the first intro, that dude has a *Valve* on his left eye. And if you turn a valve it opens. I'm pretty sure Valve was trying to say that their games look amazing, and you should look at it! In the second intro, that other dude has a *Valve* on his head. And again, a valve can open. They might've wanted to say, that the game has a lot of good puzzles and that you should think a lot!
