This song is the best example of “less is more”. No phase shifts, no gimmicks or unique mechanics, just a sad song between a mourning brother and a blue ghost. Awesome work on this melancholic masterpiece!

I like how Luigi is so half-hearted in the beginning and end. Like this whole song is just a heartfelt mourning, Luigi letting a lot of his emotions out before he returns to his depressive state.

I love how Totaka's song is used throughout the whole song, most notably at 4:02 in the instrumental; considering its in Luigi's Mansion, it makes sense. It's just such a small detail that you wouldn't expect and it makes the whole song 10x better. Red truly never misses.

From it’s V1, this is a massive glow up! you really captured the melancholic feel that V1 could have done better, and I’m a sucker for sad / calm songs. I love that it has so much more impactful melodies compared to before, especially at 3:21, mario’s lyrics + plus the melodies sounds amazing here. I also love the watery grave motifs here, which is cool since you worked on it too. this song is the best of the mod imo. well done!

And it's evolved into instead of Luigi just groaning out of tune, he's singing his heart out with such emotion for the loss of his brother... I liked the first Alone, idk what it was but I just kept coming back to it. i knew that among the other songs it was prolly the weakest of the songs, but when I heard this, I was in love and I knew why I kept coming back to *this* song. people say this version sounds less somber because his notes aren't as "depressed" sounding, but i think this one feels MORE depressing then the original, the old one sounds more like he's just...singing sad. but this one is basically beta luigi letting out his emotions of greif, ironically to something he's terrified of. he's basically SO sad he's willing to confide to something he is scared of. this version is basically, rather then the song portraying the actual depression, like the original did, it portrays the inner emotions someone would have from such a scenario. where luigi is lamenting "why didn't i just push that much harder?" and i find those emotions are what solidifies a "Sad" song, not just if something "sounds" sad.

Beta Luigi is one of those characters that isn’t meant to scare you, rather make you feel really bad about how he suffers.

I love Luigi's voice at the beginning. It really shows how depressed luigi really is

V1 of this song was pretty meh, so the difference in quality between that in V2 is massive. I like that they sort of remade the song from the start instead of remixing the original, this one is the perfect mix of the funk while still sticking to the tone of the character. I love the little details throughout the song, the Luigi's mansion melody, the fact that you start this song at full health because Luigi himself has already given up, or the separate sprites for Luigi used at the beginning and end of the song. Easily the best part is 3:20, first time I heard it tbh I didn't even know there were lyrics

I think this song had one of the best improvements in the mod. What you did with the chromatics is super impressive, considering I've never seen a "humming" chromatic done right before, and that was shown so well around the beginning and end of the song. Mario's segment too, along with Luigi's sadness throughout the song is so emotionally powerful, and I don't care if its for an Fnf song.

I liked the fact that if you listen closely there’s 2 Parts that while they happen to be references they are also foreshadowing the songs that come after this one, some of the song references watery grave (the L is real song from fnf: classified)which foreshadows thalassophobia which is the L is real song for FNF Mario’s Madness, while some of the part starting at 2:07 references I Hate You (IHY) which foreshadows IHY Luigi’s new song and IHY V2, also the entire song feels fitting and emotional for the bad ending of Luigi’s Mansion I also liked the additional detail with the humming

Just going off of context clues I’m guessing that when Mario says “oh…Mario..” it’s him sort of mocking/mimicking Luigi for when he cries out for Mario in the game, but when Mario needs Luigi’s help he is too scared to help, causing him to be lost forever. Be it intentional or not it’s still SUCH a good detail holy fuck
