Link to watch the full movie: • Survive Among the Wolv...
Most of us have seen this animal only in photographs and have never encountered it in the wild. When we hear the word "wolf", we imagine a stereotyped scary and blood-thirsty beast that has no mercy.
But are they really like that? Or, perhaps, humans have stuck this stigma on wolves unfairly? To investigate the true nature of wolves two naturalists are going to the most remote corner of Siberia, to those secluded, truly wild places, where nature lives its primeval life, to the Putorana Plateau, a place where wolves have never seen human-beings.
The naturalists will spend 9 months on the Putorana Plateau, in the true “kingdom of wolves”. Will they be able to see these cautious, intelligent and secretive masters of this severe land? Will they be able to dispel the myth about the "blood-thirsty killers"? Searching for the wolves and their dens is a real gamble …
The Journey to Siberia / Bushcraft in Siberia • The Journey to Siberia...
Wanderers of the North / Real Siberia Reindeer migration in Eurasia • Wanderers of the North...

@@ddehggial9932 Just look! Why would you understand a movi by translation. Its all in your head to decide. Or do you wanna be lead by it. They can tell, and let you see where the movi is about in there opinion, let that be clear. To me i'm just interested to see the landscape etc. Just things i wanna see in the documetry, like creatures whos living there, or the landscape it self. That they want to convince me of the fact wolfs arend dangerous, is what you will hear (read), for example in this documentry. Any movi can be translated on the way a person does, its up to you then, how to process it. But whats the difference? Its what you like to see. And thats not the translation, leading you to beleve wolfs arent dangerous. And if its was for the wolfs to see, you havend. So what makes a difference to see a translation. Just enjoy the beauty of it! And that it was... so up to the next documentry. Russian or Chinese.

I like the fact that you two were out in the middle of nowhere and not set up in a National Park where known packs of wolves are abundant, like so many other wolf documentaries. This really captures just how hard it is to find and film wolves. I wish it was a longer documentary.

Thank you very much for sharing this amazing experience with us. What a beautiful country. Majestic landscapes, majestic animals, I love it. What brought me here? I saw a wolf first hand last weekend. And now I have to watch all the documentaries that I can find about them : ) I live in eastern Germany (Saxony), at the border to Poland. As I was walking through the woods I saw a wolf, about 50-70m away, walking up a path, turning its head to look back at me. It was amazing, lasted only about 5 seconds and I continued walking to not disturb it. I will always remember this moment. Cheers.

Is clear that our ancestors had a fascination with wolves and manage to get in touch with them, tamed them and the result is the dogs we have today. The fox in the last scenes was like a consolation for the time spent. Very cute an friendly, also from canides family. Very good documentary afterall. If you start a journey with a specific purpose in the wild it turns to be different many times.

Was living in northern Ontario, Canada and was enjoying the northern lights at about 1:30 am when a wolf appeared from the side of the road. He looked at me, I looked at him and he bounded off. That was lovely. I particularly liked the English translation - good pronunciation and better English than we often sadly have to suffer on British TV today. It also had a bit of a British feel in that we British often don't succeed and neither did these Russian men and yet the moral is that we do not have to do so as it is the journey that matters - and what a journey we saw here of wilderness and all those other animals in the 20,000 acres of Unesco world heritage site. Long my humans stay away from that place.

As someone who regularly hunts wolves ( with my camera only) and dreams one day of putting together a documentary like this, I must say the fact that you could not attain the initial goal and how you documented that frustration is incredibly refreshing. You found beauty all around you. Your videography stands on its own in that regard. You guys made the absolute best of a situation that wasn't scripted and I admire that so much..I also understand the sacrifice and financial windfall it takes to chase a dream like this.. I appluad you and this honest approach your film resonates and the tireless effort to show us all back on a comfortable couch watching you.. Great work guys!!!

Russia is blessed with the most beautiful wilderness. 😍 A harsh environment that teems with exotic animals. Some of them were so fluffy and satisfying to watch. However, this documentary shows the efforts of an ecologist and wildlife expert. As a fresh biologist our future might look full of hardwork and endurance. Studying animals is not an easy job and results aren't the one we anticipate or estimate. 😶

Of course if David Attenborough had made this film they would have imported wolves and pups and he would have been sat among them playing with the puppies. The reality is that wolves are like ghosts in the night and they know that we are to be feared, that we like them are Hunters not prey, Little red riding hood has a lot to answer for, We fear wolves because they are like shadows and prey on the same things as us, in prehistoric times wolves were competitors, and man has always ruthlessly destroyed competition. Great Film, I wanted it to go on forever and was sad when it finished.

Great adventure, great video! Thank you for posting it. I run into wolves every so often at our remote cabin. They're quite social creatures, but only within their pack. We've stared face to face at each other, but there always seems to be a mutual sense of "you stay in your world, I'll stay in mine." The bears on the other hand would have no problem busting in and cleaning out the cupboards, while you're sleeping on the couch.
