The lead singer of Alphaville is Marian Gold, who is now 69 years of age. This song released on September 20, 1984. Almost forty years later, and Mr. Gold still has it. An amazing voice! I just discovered "Forever Young" a week ago and it is already one of my favorite songs. How beautiful it is!

I listened to this song in 1989 as a 10 year old for 1st time..fell in love with it. Listening to this once again is giving me goosebumps..lots of love from India. Amazing age has no effect on his voice.

Extraordinary song. I was born in 1980, and Alphaville is the music of my childhood. I am glad I found this orchestral version. This is so beautiful, and I am also glad to see how the singer of the Alphaville has changed along the years. His voice is still powerful and very finely tuned to the song. I do believe this song is a universal message of eternal youth, no matter what your biological age may be. Deep inside of us, youth never dies, it always stays there. I use this opportunity to show my gratitude and deepest feelings to the members of the band for sharing such amazing gifts with the world. All I wish now for myself and for all the people in the world is to enjoy these masterpieces for many years ahead, and stay FOREVER YOUNG. THANK YOU, ALPHAVILLE! WITH LOVE FROM A ROMANIAN FRIEND.

Marian's voice is as good as ever and the adaption to orchestra, created a new level for the song without sounding overpowering. A big thankyou to all, because I'm sure that many worked hard to get this to sound right.

What an incredible performance! Voice hasn’t changed a bit and the music the orchestra made used to be done by just two guys. Alphaville is one of the most amazing groups to ever come out of the 80s. Extremely underrated!

Видел Алфовил вживую лет 5 назад. Приезжали в Екатеринбург. Очевидное-невероятное. Голос у солиста такой же чистый и мощный, как и 40 лет назад. Фантастика!!!

Hi Alphaville Band. Hi Hartwig. I've been your fan since 1984. This song marked my adolescence in the 80s. I gave birth to my daughter on 07.16.1986, and in the hospital, in the delivery room, I heard "Forever Young." It was beautiful. Congratulations, success.

Some idiots actually think he's singing to a pre-recorded track, despite all the little '"imperfections", variations in his voice when compared to the more polished studio version and less sustain in holding the notes due to his older voice. It's LIVE. Any fool can tell.
