Hello friends, today I will show you a great idea with an electric motor from a washing machine. I used the electric motor and made a wooden drive roller for it. I bought an old model jointer, which does not have an electric motor but is brand new. The back video will show you how you can connect the electric motor to a new machine. The result is great. After this project I equipped my workshop with Jointer. get to like the idea.

@@indymackel6240 Google is your friend as different motors have different wiring, most older washing machine motors are the induction type motors and are usually hooked up to a capacitor to start and run the motor. If it has 4 wires coming out of it, 2 of those wires will be for the capacitor and the other 2 for the L and N mains. If the motor has just 3 wires, 2 are hooked up to the capacitor and on spare wire is for the live, One of the same wires hooked to the capacitor is your neutral connection, If you reverse these connection the motor will rotate the other way. Google images is the best place to find the connections.

Good job, you just have to install the protection for the pulleys and the belt. There may be a possibility of cracking the belt and eye or head injuries. Of course, there may be a break in the tension spring that tightens the belt. All this must be covered by undiscovered Masters.

i used an old washing machine motor to power the wipers on a morris mini minor , its amazing what you can do with a washing machine motor if the only thing missing on a piece of machinery is its engine

cool, but be careful... If there is a hidden nail in the wood, and the spinning knives catch it and kick the wood, your hand that's pressing down into the wood will immediately come down into the spinning knives....so never press down with your hand positioned above the spinning knives

Большая часть станка уже по сути была готовая куплена. Оставалось присобачить лишь двигатель. Хотя для такого станка этот движок в 180Вт слишком мал. Строгать еще кое как будет, а вот если поставить циркулярку, то пилить можно будет разве что спички.
