I'm reading about the downfall of Enron and they had the exact opposite view of Amazon. All they did was focus on quarterly results and tried to boost them and didn't even consider how the results may impact the future. It didn't work out well. Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are a lot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

Mr. Rubenstein is the best at what he does. Jeff is usually uncomfortable and on edge but he kept laughing because of David.

I love that he said "He's my real dad not my birth father" where most people refer to the person who biologically created them as "my real parents". I'm adopted and I've always considered my parents my 'real parents' and the couple who caused my birth as 'my birth parents'. A truer statement was never said!!!!!!!

Notice how around 44:30 he barely says anything about his wife and then quickly shifts to his parents, and gushes about them for minutes. Didn't think much of it when I first saw this interview but in hindsight after the divorce it makes more sense.

This is a great example of how a host should interview an interesting or wise guest!

Thank you for quality programming. What you are describing here is accurate - the flight to safety to the US stock market and dollar. This is what is keeping the market going at this time and preventing a crash. This "melt UP" phase will go on for a while, then as the global economy crashes so will US markets only harder due to the "No Win scenario" that has been created by so much obscene debt. Next comes the "Default Phase" with mega-massive bankruptcies and lastly "Asset Seizures" where banks and the Fed government will simply declare an extreme national emergency to justify the crisis and debit your account directly. The fools will think that this could never happen. The actual legislation for this type of action is already in place. Yes, the videos were very interesting and informatable. It is definitely not as easy to start up a business as some people might think. Starting a business takes a lot of planning and hard work. I would have to make sure that you are willing to dedicate yourself to that job, whatever that may be. When it comes to hiring I would look for how enthusiastic and dedicated that they are with the task at hand.

Jeff Bezos have more American values than other No.1 No.2 entrepreneurs and it's really inspiring to hear his words. He had more focus on one task at a time than multitasking.. Great !

I think one of the most important take aways from this is when he acknowledged the other packer saying “we need packing tables” rather going with his own idea of “we need knee pads”. Goes to show that great entrepreneurs aren’t always the smartest tool themselves but rather can recognize ideas in others.

I was one of the first customers with Amazon when Bezos was packing/shipping Book orders himself. Most people thought I was mad, trusting an internet company with my credit card, but Amazon's service was impeccable and I was fed up with month long waiting times for the exotic books I liked to read, from traditional bookshops. Much respect for Amazon and what they've done. That said, this last headquarters deal (HQ2, HQ2/3 or whatever) is a wacky con job, sucking resources from all these begging cities. An ominous sign we are no longer in a true capitalist society, where everybody has a fair go, but an oligarchy.
