This moment of them describing how much they mean to each other had me tearing up, it is so wonderful.

Oh gosh this whole scene. The maze is a great metaphor for them at this moment. The searching, the finding, the hope, the longing. All of this wrapped up. I felt for Dex, he grew up. Emma, blossoming into her confidence. Really at this point, they really knew. Gosh, give me therapy this whole show has wrecked me.

"Let's go i wanna meet your fiancee" was such a wild thing to say after they both kissed, i love the normalcy of them randomly making out..here she is pining for him and he is battling his inner desires because of sylvi and the baby. it goes in direct contrast to where he later visits emma in paris like a lovesick puppy. this whole series was just so real. i never believed in right person wrong time until i saw this masterpiece.

This scene started the waterworks for me and it was all downhill from there 😭

The amount of courage to open up her feelings to him, in a maze, just like that, is truly a-maze-ing. I admire the bravery and honesty. This is one of the most romantic scenes in the series ❤

Stumbled on this and was blown away by the acting. Binged watched all 14 episodes in 1 sitting. I loved how this series took it's time..and then BAM!!!... my heart was broken like 10 times. Gut wrenching scene here but there were so many good ones with these two alone. I wish nothing but the best for these two actors!

They wanted to be together so badly again as friends and now willing to go for more but he felt compelled to stay with Silvi. It was so telling they wanted their connection after their kiss both of them didn't act funny or weird like it was a mistake. This series was such an emotional rollercoaster and I loved both of them through all the love and turmoil. The last two episodes nearly took me out it was such a crying fest.❤

At thirty-one, I've learned to interpret this type of kiss as the muscle memory of being close. Your heart notices the distance and begs for validation: "Are we still good?". It's simultaneously ultimately sincere and meaningless. Of course, for the series, this scene was part of a sensational romantic slow burn. But I've shared a kiss like this where it's only meaning was getting full closure. Just a final acknowledgement of the love you hold for the shared past, no longer longing for any of that to exist in the future. And there's peace and beauty in that too.

I know this scene reflects cheating and yes that’s wrong but this whole wedding scenes clearly show he ‘s trapped with someone he doesn’t love or want so it’s hard to really feel about what he does with Em. Also, his fiancée was so cold and unfeeling as well. She honestly didn’t care where he was or what he was doing except when she needed his buffering! The moment he saw Em at the wedding he just couldn’t keep his eyes from her. You could tell he was so in love with her. He never once thought to introduce his “fiancée “ to her. He searched Em out to talk. His whole tone telling Em about the kid and wedding, it clearly showed he wasn’t happy and just resigned to his fate. He purposely called it a “shotgun wedding”, so Em would clearly know that his fiancée was not who he truly wanted and he was only getting married because of the baby. By the way he initiated that kiss after Em’s heart felt confession and she followed giving in to what she really wanted. Oh and let’s not forget he couldn’t even tell his fiancée he was talking to Em when she called. He said “I’m with a group of friends”. That’s a dead give away that he felt guilty he was alone with Em because he really loves Em. On a side note I think by this scene he already knew he was in love with Em. I felt like the audience knew he was actually in love with Em and not his fiancée when he went to meet his fiancée’s family the first time. When they were in bed and she was mad he broke her nose playing the game. Dex was laying next to her and he has this silly love struck happy expression on his face and he was laughing because he was thinking of Em and how she would react to the situation and his fiancée got jealous accusing him of thinking of an ex. The his response she’s just a friend” in this wistful kind of dreamy way with that pure happiness grin on his face. It was so obvious where his heart truly was. Then right after he all of a sudden he felt the need to tell his fiancée he loves her for the first time. It felt like it was calculated appeasement because he knew she wasn’t wrong in being jealous of Em!

I love this scene so much! My most favorite episode (also happened in 1997 which is my birth year). In the episodes before this, there were times when they were alone together and they were about to kiss but Em just stops because in those times, Dex had a girlfriend or she still treats him as her best friend. But this time, I kind of think that she allowed herself to kiss Dex back eventhough it's wrong because she's also saying goodbye to the possibility the she and dex will be together. I cried so much here. My next favorite episode would be Episode 7. God! I love their fight scene so much hahaha
