American Couple Reacts: Queen Elizabeth's Funeral. God Bless the Queen, God Save the King
What can we say here... This was a very sad day yet an amazing service. Queen Elizabeth was so many things to so many people and to know that she is no longer in this World is beyond heartbreaking. She was a beautiful soul and an incredible leader. It's so hard to say goodbye, so we say, see you later...
We only watched some of the service here and will be watching a lot more in our own time. We will continue to offer our condolences and love to the people of the United Kingdom and Commonwealth.
God bless the Queen and God Save the King.

As a Royal Navy Veteran, I can tell you that the gun carriage carrying the coffin weighs two and a half tons. The coffin itself is lead-lined and weighs 500 pounds. The Royal Navy Sailors(Male and Female - first time ever for Females) at the front obviously haul the carriage. The Sailors at the rear act as the brakes, preventing it from gathering speed and also stopping it. They make it look effortless. Discipline and Pride. Those boys and girls did this country, and Her Majesty, proud yesterday.

Too often people across the world like to voice and highlight the differences in their own countries, their cultures and their way of life. Too often these differences are used as a way to criticise and to belittle others and state how their country/culture/way of life is the right way, the best way and anything else is inferior. However, at moments like this we all realise that fundamentally we are all the same. We all have hopes and dreams, we all have sadness and grief, we all want what is best for ourselves, our families and our countries. The Queen was a uniting force for many across the world, she acquired the reign of the British empire upon the death of her beloved father. The Queen became the figurehead of an empire that had been formed by some of the worst atrocities the world had, at that time, seen and bore. She, being of good standing and of heart, welcomed the world and those nations that wanted to have their own independence returned to their people. She did not want to be a figure renowned for war or genocide. She often apologised for the actions of her family and ancestors. She embraced individuals, their cultures, their lives and their beliefs. She didn't always get it right but no one does. No one is perfect. It's not often a death of a head of state gets the outpouring of grief, the condolences and the acknowledgments of her accomplishments from all across and around the world as she has. Messages of support and acknowledgement from those whom would usually be considered "an enemy of the state". Queen Elizabeth II was one of a kind and the world is a poorer place because she is no longer here.

And, most sacred and venerated above all, The Tomb of the Unknown Warrior.

She was queen when I was born in 1957. Losing her presence was disorientating. I have always been proud of her. Although it may seem odd to some people I actually really like the fact that our head of state is completely outside the world of politics and is purely symbolic. Even some countries with a history of very liberal governments like Norway, Sweden, Denmark and The Netherlands have a monarch as a symbolic head of state. And I believe our Queen represented the very best of them.

I was born in England the same year Elizabeth became Queen, so she has been my Sovereign my entire life. Even though I knew this day would come, when it did happen I wasn't ready at all. I still feels like my grandmother just died. .

Same here. I was born 2 years later in 54. She was about the same age as my mum. So her changing image mirrored my mums over the years. Lost them both now.

As Brit I can't thank you enough for the care and respect you showed in making this video, I've not cried until I watched this but I needed to and feel better for it, at 59 years old she was all I've ever known and will never see the likes of again. Thank you for making this video so glad I found your channel 💜

i saw charles face, so sad, so full of grief, we forget that he is not just the king, he is a man at his mothers funeral, and the whole wide world is watching him, so he can`t even cry...

I watched the entire thing on live tv, and watching this has me tearing up again. I served in Her majesty’s armed Forces (RAF) for 12 years , and I’m proud to have called her “The Boss”. A sad and poignant event, but carried out with such majesty. It shows the British for who we really are. God bless the Queen GOD SAVE THE KING!

Such respect shown by yourselves and your nation and indeed the world. X Army me and although we knew it was only time it made me cry at the news, to me the loss of our Queen is a loss not just to us but to the world as a whole. As you said in the opening God bless the Queen and God save the King

@@waynewal971 That gun carriage is 123 years old, and carried Queen Victoria to her final rest. It also carried Winston Churchill, George V, George VI, Edward VII, and Lord Louis Mountbatten, during their funeral processions, before Queen Elizabeth II became the 7th person to be carried by it.

@@waynewal971 I am a British historian and a monarchist. I guess you completely misunderstood me. I am not a fan of anything Disney. The point I was trying to make is that this funeral was the very opposite of fake and schmaltzy. So sorry you cant understand English

On behalf of my British compatriots, thank you both for your reverence and respect these past two weeks. Your coverage of this sad moment in our national history has, without hyperbole, been better even than that of your own US news networks. It has been a privilege to witness your heartfelt reactions, your touching messages in the Book of Condolence, and your appreciation for not only Her Late Majesty, but also individual members of the Royal Family (especially the Princess Royal) and His Majesty's Armed Forces, who served King and country without fault. God bless you both.
