*Story 1:* How rude! It shouldn't matter who karen is or how important she is. It's just another excuse to justify cutting to the front of line. Good for OP and others for refusing to allow her to control what goes on.

I can't help but feel bad for the step father in the wedding story. He sounded genuinely excited about it and him being potentially crushed by this is 100% on the mom and not OP.

Definitely been there wit telling a co worker that I liked her. In my experience, if a girl tells you that she isn't ready to date anyone, that means that she isn't interested in you specifically. Because another month later, she's dating someone lol. She just didn't have the courage to tell you that she isn't interested in you. Sure it hurts more to find out that she couldn't just tell you, but you get over it and move on, while still treating her like you would any other person.

Well that's why the phrase don't sh!t were you eat is a thing in story 4.

Story 4 and 5 ... Coworkers are not your friends~ if you dont keep work professional; it'll come back to bite you in the ass 🤣🤣

Story 1: Lets always remember the 4 grand words of "Right To Refuse Service".... regardless of whether or not it was 20 years ago or 20 minutes ago. I hate it when customers like this dumb Karen act like this. There's a reason those number tickets systems exist. Cutting in line like this is one of the most inconsiderate and rude things you can do. Learn to wait your turn. Good on the supervisor for not taking this Karens BS and even better on that customer for getting the last word in on the Karen too. Story 2: Want the contract followed? No problem!! Good on the OP and the other workers for getting more pay/money out of all this. Some people are just too stupid. Story 3: Not the jerk at all here.... the mom is. Its good that there doesnt sound like there is any ill-will between the OP and the stepdad here, but the mom definitely crossed a line by assuming that the OP would want the stepdad to do this and then tell the stepdad that the OP said it was okay for this to happen. That is 100% wrong and the OP has every right to say that this is a big deal and to say no to it. OP has every right to recind the offer of walking down the aisle here, and if the mom isn't careful and doesnt shut up, then i say the OP should recind her invitation too. This is certainly not the OP "punishing a good man" here. Story 4: I dont think the OP is a jerk here and really didnt do anything wrong here, but you always need to remember that your co-workers are your co-workers first and your friends later. I think its pretty obvious that she doesn't feel the same way that you do. At least this point, just keep the relationship professional. Things are already awkward enough.... you dont want it to get worse. Story 5: OP did nothing wrong here and Albert needs to back off here. If the OP and Albert were buddy-buddy, then i could see this as a bit of a inside joke, but this is essentially harassment. The fact that the boss is giving the OP grief over this tells me that this is not a good place to work at and you may want to consider both a new job and maybe a lawyer for some kind of harassment case here. There is absolutely nothing normal about this. Albert deserved to get called out in front of everyone else.

Story 1: Two possabilites about this Karen's husband. 1. He's probably some kind of high rank person (police officer or military) and she thinks she's above others because of this. 2. The husband could just have some ordinary job, so she's showing off that she's married to try to scare people. Good on the manager for not taking this bullshit and good on the customer for that last word. Story 3: This actually hurt me kinda. Not just cuz of the OP, but because of the stepdad. He seemed so excited about walking OP down the aisle, now he's gonna get crushed cuz of the mother's actions.

Story #1. Being a Vet myself I've had to deal with those Dependas that walk around with a bag with their husband's rank on it. Once I was standing in the checkout lane that was designated for service members in uniform as a priority from 11:30 - 13:00 because that's our lunch period. This dependa who had her Staff Sergeant husband's rank on it tried to skip us in line. I got on her quick telling her that she needs to read the sign and she needs to get in the back of us. She refers to the rank on her bag explaining her husband's rank. Me being a smart ass E-4 at the time I told her that I didn't care. And if she wants to that she can call him and have him come talk to me. And then I can go talk to my command and let them deal with it. She made her way to another lane. Damn Dependas!

Story 2: I understand you and your step-dad fully, since it feels like he just genuinely is excited that you approve him as famaly and I also get you don‘t want to do that, but your mom has a problem, it‘s your marriage, not hers so she cannot decicde what‘s happening

Story 4 - OP is NTA. The woman he likes though...she is garbage for treating him like that. If it were me in that situation I would definitely be labeled as an AH. I would find a way to drive that guy far away from her. And after I got rid of him I would cut her off entirely. And yeah I get that that's vindictive, but...she earned it. He tells you that he likes you and then you avoid him and then start talking again out of nowhere and acting like nothing happened. And then you have the nerve to start flirting with another guy right in front of him. Yeah, you're trash.

Someone using their spouse's military rank in order to gain special privileges is a good way for said spouse to get disciplined at best. It should be standard procedure in such stores for to say, "I'm sorry, no I don't know who your spouse is. May I have their details so I can confirm?"
