What we're gonna talk about is how this measures wind speed, how it actually works and how a computer can tell. And then we're also going to talk about other ways you can measure the wind with other kinds of instruments, which are some of which are pretty doggone cool.

ANEMOMETER= ANEMO+METER. Greek words that means meausure the wind. ANEMOS=WIND and METRO=METER :-)

I have the same anemometer - and it makes 2 clicks per 1 rotation

That is correct. Two clicks per one rotation.

Hey John! I have a doubt. Doesn't how fast the thing rotates actually depend on the material with which its made? For the same dimension, would the one made of material with higher density would weigh more and hence rotate slowly?

Yes, it depends on the weight and what you are using for bearings. John

I have a solar tracking unit, It has +,-,Signal for the anemometer input. The anemometer that I have only has two wires. (Red, Green) How do I hook it up???? Can you help???
