This update single-handedly gave the game the personality it's been missing

I like how villagers are able to break into your house now-

Everyone: “omg all of our old friends are back and we’ve been playing the demo this whole time!” Me: omg how is tortimer not dead-

Everyone: “We want bulk crafting!” Nintendo: “Ok but what if we give you everything you’ve ever wanted apart from that?” Everyone: “Actually…. nice.”

They really went “lets add everything everyone was asking for since day 1 of release over a year after the game was made”

As a kid who only grew up with the original animal crossing on the gamecube, them bringing back the Gyroids (sorry if I spelt that wrong) made me so happy

What we wanted was Brewster. What we got was a major update that fixes almost everything. Congratulations Nintendo.

Nintendo be like: "There, here is everything, now leave us alone" 🤣 What an update, can't wait to add another thousand hours in this game.... So grateful 😻🙏🍃💚

Have given the game a lot of crap for feeling very bland and missing tons of content. After this, this gets me back into the game for a good while. Only disappointment is no clue if there's new NPC dialogue and no shop upgrades. Otherwise, this is what we need and can't wait for the 5th!

I was so scared that Nintendo just wasn’t listening to their audience and what we wanted from this game, BUT THEYVE BEEN LISTENING ALL ALONG! Thank you so much Nintendo! I’m super excited to pick up my switch and play animal crossing every day

I'm frankly amazed at how generous this update is, especially considering how much greed is evidenced by the Switch online update.

Almost teared up when they revealed Villager's can invite you to their houses and vice-versa. That was my #1 missed feature from New Leaf. Thank you Nintendo :']

I miss Tortimer Island minigames and the island fruits...and perfect fruit, this game would be perfect if it had those three things too included.

I haven’t played this game in months, but I used to play it everyday with my school friends since the day it came out. We just did everything we could. I can’t believe I’m gonna have to call up my friend across the country in college and say “Dude. They updated it. BIG TIME.” Thanks for making Uni a lot better Nintendo :)

I’m not even an animal crossing fan but holy crap the energy in that direct presentation was insane. So many people crying and literally misspellings everywhere Bc you guys were just so happy. Glad Nintendo could do this Bc I heard the game was lacking new content for a while

The cooking is singlehandedly why I will bring this game back out again. Amazing, this update is what we needed

Fantastic! Here are a few things I was hoping to see but didn’t. 1. Bulk crafting. Like for fishing bait for example. 2. Being able to use crafting materials if they’re in storage, without having to take them out. 3. A villager radar or something that shows their positions on the map, in case you need to find one in a hurry. 4. Remote access to storage from anywhere 5. And maybe like a little boat of your own that’s a little faster than swimming, where you can fish or haul things out of the sea from.

I'm happy that Animal Crossing New Horizons is actually becoming a complete game

They waited and waited then literally put every single feature that all players wanted in one single massive update. They resurrected the game and I think it is much better than ever. I hope the developers will get less and less stubborn with quality of life changes in the future, like crafting multiple fish bait at once or not having to read a whole novel when Gulliver is on your island.

Everyone's excited for all the added characters, meanwhile I'm just excited that I can select multiple things into storage. 😂

Cooking!? That is the ONE thing I wanted but didn’t ever expect them to implement. They have finally livened up the game

I was shocked by HOW MUCH things were changing. They actually listened to what we wanted, such as the Brewster and adding old characters back. Things we didn't even realised we needed, such as changing your house design. Time to get my switch out. :)

I purposely did not do an island transfer when I got a Switch OLED because I had been wanting to start over for a while and now I have a reason to do so. Looking forward to it.

I'm so glad this update is huge, I honestly ran out of things to do and this feels like a years worth of content to explore. If Nintendo is listening, my dream is to have a "shared island" mode where multiple players can live on the same island. It would be so much fun to decorate and change things, knowing the other players will see it. Or coming back and finding some surprises that they have done.
