12 днів томуPolitical rumble began soon after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent speech in Rajasthan’s Banswara. Opposition launched a sharp attack on PM Modi for his “redistribution of wealth” remarks targeting Congress. PM Modi claimed that ex-PM Manmohan Singh had said that Muslims have first right on country’s resources. PM Modi was referring to ex-PM Manmohan Singh’s Dec 19, 2006 speech at the Meeting of National Development Council.
According to PMO Archives, this is what Manmohan Singh had said. “I believe our collective priorities are clear. Agriculture, irrigation and water resources, health, education, critical investment in rural infrastructure, and the essential public investment needs of general infrastructure, along with programmes for the upliftment of SC/STs, other backward classes, minorities and women and children. The component plans for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes will need to be revitalized. We will have to devise innovative plans to ensure that minorities, particularly the Muslim minority, are empowered to share equitably in the fruits of development. They must have the first claim on resources. The Centre has a myriad other responsibilities whose demands will have to be fitted within the over-all resource availability.”

waqf is not started by congress. It was Britishers who started this. Land of waqf is of Muslims of India who donated it to waqf. Other communities has no right to waqf lands. Similarly Inad churches act 1927 says that Catholic church will take care of the belongings of Church. Other communities also have no right except Christians. After government of India, Church is the 2nd most land owner and 3rd being waqf. If you say why not Hindus, then its your own problem not ours. Make a combine waqf like bodies for hindu temples and places if you want. This is your own problem. Ask the government for it

@@mehak-GBand congress amended and made it strong multiple times mate as recently as 2013 and also gifted 123 prime properties in Delhi to waqf board before the declaration of elections in 2014. They r the second largest land owners after railways. They can declare any land as their own and nobody can challenge it in the court of law and only place they can challenge is in their tribunal where u know what would happen. Recently they claimed a 1000 year old temple land as their own in Tamil Nadu

@@itdoesntmatter9923 they are not second largest but third largest after christian church and government lands as a whole. Do you know what 123 prime buidlings are.. This case started in 1915 when British needed to develop Delhi, they forcedfully acquired these buildings from Muslims living there. After protest, they said that we'll take them on lease. After independence, Congress wickedly delayed this issue for decades untill 2013 but that too with only lease clause. Those properties owned by Muslims were given back to waqf on lease. Hypocrisy ..... Lease doesnot mean ownership.
