The big problem probably lies with our broadcaster NDR and then there are so many small parts that make our entries way too mediocre for a big show like the ESC and mediocrity is quickly punished with Eurovisions points system.

Ja, ich auch. Da sie sagte, es sei nicht so gut gelaufen für sie, musste ich sie googeln. Das Lied hat doch grosses Hit Potenzial. Vielleicht sogar für einen Bond-Film. Keinen einzigen Punkt? Es gibt so viel wirklich furchtbare Performances und die bekommen jede Menge Punkte. Darum schaue ich ESC schon lange nicht mehr.

The saddest thing is that Ann Sophie recently talked about how it crushed her self esteem and that she could not perform for 4 years afterwards and thought this was not the career for her and she was not good enough. She just recently started music again and auditioned for the Voice Of Germany last week. It's on UKposts, she has gotten even better!

Außerdem ist es doch klar, dass etwa die kleinen baltischen Staaten untereinander ihre Sänger promoten, wenn ihre Hauptstädte nur 3 Stunden auseinander liegen und viele Länder hatten ja auch früher Zusammenschlüsse (Soviet Union, Jugoslawien, etc.). Ähnliche Kultur = ähnlicher Geschmack. Ist doch glasklar, dass man dann den Nachbarn die Punkte gibt.

uhm no we dont tend to do that we think its the best one out of all the performances and yet it got 0 points

It's definitely not the best performance, come on. She has a nice voice and the song is okay but the chorus is so olf-fashioned (in a bad way) and cliche and the main vocalist is really screaming because she barely reaches the high notes.She deserved to be higher but I wouldn't say top 5

This was one of the best performances of the night. The song is old-fashioned, but its timeless, which is why its so favourited by fans. She was criminally underrated by the televoters and the juries. Even worse is Austria who placed 13th with jury, but because they got 0 points from televoting, they got 0 overall.

Actually this song ended last cause of ruling that says songs performed later in running order is placed lower if two or more countries have 0 points...Still my winner for that year even though it's the only song that finished 27th in the Grand Final (yes, there was Czech Republic getting 28th place but that was in Semi Final)...
