The “ants are venomous” line shows his style though. He’s not gonna call the cross over/in n out move that he did to get to that dunk. His play by play announcing for a play by play guy leaves much more to be desired. I thought they made a mistake letting Dave go, but I was wrong. They made a fantastic decision. With any good announcer, It’s all rinse and repeat because that’s what announcing should be. 95% of the time it’s stuff youve seen a thousand times unless you’re new to the game.
@jordanlaine7412Місяць тому
@@goskateminnesota7256 You know why they let Benz go? Money. Diamond Sports Group hasn't been doing financially well for a while; bet Grady makes 60% of Benz's salary. I listen to a lot of different announcers, NBA and otherwise, Grady ain't it; at least, not yet. He's young, so who knows. He's not even close to Jordan right now though. Jordan was injured when he was 22, but averaged 37 ppg at 23 in a much more defense-oriented league. Compare other stats, and it's obvious that young Jordan was way better than the player Edwards is now, and that's not including intangibles, which Jordan had in spades.
