Yes and no. Yes, in that Usyk deserves the accomplishment of being undisputed heavyweight champion more than Fury does. He's lived the life and chased down hard fights. No in that should Usyk win he may well decide to take a deserved retirement leaving the division scattered and the reputation of its biggest remaining stars diminished. I think that situation would take money out of boxing much like what happened when Floyd retired.

He's dragged boxing through the gutter using performance enhancing and recreational drugs along with avoiding the toughest fights and behaving like a drunken hooligan kicking taxis and talking a load of expletives that aren't suitable for children. The Ngonnu and Chisora fights sum Fury up. Fury is a terrible role model and the sooner he gets his comeuppance the better.

I'm not debating Usyk's merits as a fighter either. You said though that Usyk winning is what the boxing world needs. I have countered that Usyk winning might actually take money out of the division especially if he retires after beating Fury. That's not good for boxing! If Usyk were to stick around making defences before eventually losing and passing the torch then that would be great for boxing but I can't see that happening because don't think it makes sense for him personally to do that! On the other hand, if Fury wins there's still at least a huge fight with AJ(which has far more crossover appeal than Fury Vs Usyk) to keep everyone interested!!

@@recodegamesstudio Holyfield's biggest claims to fame were Bowe and Tyson. I'd have to put AJ above Bowe. Where as Iron Mike never really beat anyone of note. He was lucky it was such a weak division in that era. I liked Holyfield but I'd fancy Usyk to be to slick for him.
