as I understand it, it's mostly the fact that situations in which SWAT gets involved are so volatile theres no sure way to know who's an active threat and who isn't i think in real life officers split up to take civilians out immediately after they handcuff them, as well

The AI in this game is bad. If the suspect sees you, they know where you are and if they even see a pixel of your character model, they will land accurate shots on you even through walls where they can't actually see you. Suspects being blind and deaf is 50/50, sometimes, even your own footsteps is enough to alert them of your presence and in others, even having a flashbang going off in the same building as them won't trigger a reaction. Getting domed by meth heads and gangbangers after they make a 360 turn is a pretty normal occurrence in the game and is a giant meme in itself. Whats even funnier is low-level thugs fight like they're terrorists/religious fanatics. They don't surrender and they'd rather fight to the death for $200 which makes no damn sense. I think this has more to do with YTers and players promoting the game as hardcore milsim rather than an actual SWAT game.

It’s worth nothing that this is pre-1.0 and I believe they redid AI in the new update; still wonky at times for sure but not quite as bad

The Game Has Only EVIL NPCs who Rarely Surrender if that is even happening without mods the AI is not good or Realistic like you Hear Footsteps or Hunker down as NPCs @@shellshockedgerman3947 it is now just seek and destroy and works mostly on Reflexes

@@KaitouKaiju because that’s a direct threat to their life? At the very least you would orientate towards and investigate the sounds. Standing there with your back turned is the last think a criminal would do when there is gunshots in the building.

The AI here seemed way easier than they normally are. Normally they are very dynamic, will come up behind you from rooms you've already cleared because they'll move around and roam, and in some scenarios, they are pracitcally cheating with how accurate they are, while in other scenarios they are tought but more fair, and some where they're trash shots, depends on who you're busting.
