I have used airpods 2 for 2 years now and loved them. However I use them when I run and when Im out in the rain so last week they started to break down. I did that on my own risk of course, knowing that they might break. So just the water resistant part makes it worth of a upgrade. The other part that I like is that they seem to have som kind of protection from wind. I live nearby the sea where its windy at least 50% of the days and people have some trouble hearing me when I talk to them on the phone while Im outside. Better sound quality, 3d audio and better battery life are great bonuses.

I like and used AirPods gen2 and AirPods gen1 because I prefer to tap on the AirPods then having to use a button for real no cap 🧢👌

Do you think that the AirPods 3 won’t fit the same as the AirPods 2? I’m wondering whether they may be kinda uncomfortable compared to the twos

I went from AirPods 2 to gen 3 an like the sound of gen 3 but they fall out my ears when I workout but definitely love the battery life but I might go back down to gen 2 because I don’t want my music falling out ears

The Airpods 3 sounds worse than the Airpods 2. The 3s have more midbass but the bass drops significantly at 80 hz and almost nothing below that. The high frequencies are boosted A LOT so Ts and Ss sound very harsh. The 2s have less midbass but the bass goes deeper and the high frequencies aren’t as loud so it seems to have a more balanced sound. Why does everyone seem to think the 3s have better sound quality? My guess is because they are just newer…. NEW DOES NOT MEAN BETTER! If you need the water resistance then get the 3s but for anything else stick with the 2s!

I'm planning to get one either gen 2 or 3. I'll be mainly using them for phone calls and casual music listening. I'm not going for the pros cuz i don't mind lacking ANC or so features since I won't be using them anyway. But I'm finding hard to decided between 2 and 3. what gen3 attracts me over the gen2 is the 6 hrs battery life (whereas gen2 gets 5hrs) and sweat & water resistant. But I've read many comments people saying gen2 fits better for them rather than gen3. In where i live, I could get gen2 for $110. I've never tried them personally what I mainly use is the orginal lighting apple earphones with wired and I feel like getting a pair of airpods. By the way, those wired earphones fit me well I must say. I also have a small ear canal. Any suggestions please.

Do you think the AirPods Pro and The AirPods three gonna used the same protected case? Because I’m trying to look up some on Amazon and I see the same protective case for the AirPods three for the AirPods Pro so I don’t know.

I just purchased the 3rd Gen, I own all 3 iterations. Honey I recommend the 3, however this all depends on your needs. In my personal experience I noticed a better fit and less blockage with the 1& 2 designed which is what I love about them. However here with the 3 I noticed a better sound quality bass is in particular is noticeable better perhaps this is due to the addition of adaptive EQ (which is an inward facing mic) plus you now have skin detection and Spatial audio support plus a noticeable improvement with battery. and a somewhat gimmicky feature MagSafe support Imo the real reason why they even exist is for the Spatial audio one complaint from me though twice the left earpiece fell out honestly in my personal experience the 1&2 had a better fit but yeah these 3rd Gen are great otherwise

They shouldn’t have changed the design , i know it’s at the sacrifice of comfort . These are shaped the same as the pros & those are extremely uncomfortable for long periods of use
