On the original arch linux it was arch + openbox lol that was the big thing back then... but yeah i still like openbox, but i stop using it due to the fact of no wayland support, that is why im getting into hyprland. and yes my hyprland will be in floating mode for the most part :P

Rock on dude, I s till use windows on a few box not sure about the updates i havn't updated it in awhile I have one box that mainly runs FFXIV online 24/7 lol i havn't check it laterly perhaps it wants me to update it lol hmm anyhow yeah I use Arch a lot I mean i jump around with systemts a lot as you may notice, but honestly arch is my main system. I love kde cause it is simple, its great to customize it, if you want tiling as i show in my video that konsole can do split screen as mainly when I use tiling it was in the terminal and thats about it.. when it came to gui programs i didnt like tiling i perfer more a full or maximize app in a workspace like what kde does and gnome and yes some like the tiling aspect i find it rahter annoying also yes with display and also if u like HDR well kde has that and multiply screen kde makes it easy... it can be like yeah im lazy or it can just be i don't feel like configuring a WM anymore lol some people like doing it go for it have fun... i use to be all into windows manager not sure if i started this with arch linux as i done this like 10 years ago lol anyhow cool im glad u went to arch and kde is a great DE have fun dude and all the luck eh.

i wish we can have those transition smooth effect on KDE like hyprland yeah thats the only thing i like about it... when i use hyprland i use it mainly is floating mode lol .. i only tile terminals in a seperate workspace... mainly like having apps in its own workspace that is what i do with KDE this also can be done in gnome... Everyone has their own taste im more a stacking desktop guy.... people make tiling like its a cool thing linux have, but don't realize that tiling came from windows 2.0 lol

@@CRYPTiCEXiLE In Gnome there's an extension called Forge that turns Gnome into a tiling wm basically, so one gets all the beauty and visual effects and dynamic workspaces of Gnome with tiling behavior similar to hyprland and others. I tried it as an experiment and got used to it, never switched back to anything.

what are u wasting i dont use small screens eh... and theres WM that actually use the concept of titing style but all stacking look into mcwm eh i have made a nice of mcwm a lot and back in the day mcwm was quite popular in the ricing community of unixporn i used it a lot of arch and as well on freebsd. I use to rice a lot of dwm setup back in the day.. im also ricing a hyprland as we speak.. cause i use kde a lot and love kde doesnt mean i hate tiling... honestly dude it is my computer i can do whatever i want with my desktop. Please stop telling me what I should do with it ok.
