thank you for this well and precise explained video.i was able to operate it from laptop where the nod mcu and LEDs are powered from different power source but not from my smart phone using the APP Arduino smart remote.

Super project :-) Question: can you use the relay also for "WS2812B" LED Stripes to control so 5Volt DC ?

You can but you have to give the WS2812B LED strip enough power (5v with sufficient Amperage) to light up the all the LEDs properly.
