As a 97 baby, I had the same reactions while watching this video but apparently, we're "Zillennials" aka the group born in the late 90s - 2002 ish! We're the perfect mix between Gen Z and millennial since we basically experienced a bit of both decades

No it’s just the 90s. Early 2000s is 100% gen z. If you’re in the cusp of gen z and millennial you are a “zillennial”. 2000s is like the crux of gen z

Well early 2000s are definitely Gen Z. It’s mainly just the middle of the 90s so I would consider 1995-1997 to be Zillennials

I'm the same age as you, and I consider myself a millennial, but I have two older siblings. I was talking to a friend the other day who is also 26, but she's the oldest in her family, and she relates a lot more to gen z. I don't know if it's a strict rule, but for a lot of the people I know their siblings swayed which group they identified with a lot.

I was born in 2000 and I dont think of myself as a Gen Z. Officially i am, yes. Could be because of my older sister and a few older friends, but i am definitely not the same, as the „typical“ Gen Z. Zillennial would work in my book

As someone who was born in 2000, I've gotten GenX before because I'm an only child with GenX parents but my mom was always with her parents and God parents who are boomers so my dad always called me an old soul. But he also always teases my mom for being old because she's 4 years older than him. And since she's about to be 50, he feels like he has all the ammo in the world💀💀💀

I think you're in the sweet spot between the two at 27 because I did fine with the millenials one and I'm 30, but barely knew anything from the GenZ stuff. But let's face it... When we start asking if we're old... We're on our way 😂 My nephew of 15 picked up a portable cd player and asked what it was the other day (not even a cassette player... A cd player!) ... Needless to say... I almost cried in my elderly age 😂😂

I don’t think the year you were born matters in determining what generation you are. It depends on the person’s personality and habits. Some people can be born as a millennial but behave like a gen z and vice versa, and I think as far as years go there can be some overlap as some kids would fall to one side or the other depending on how they grew up.

It's refreshing to see you guys make this video! As a cusper myself I've always wondered what generation I belong to. Growing up I've always been told that I'm a millennial because of the year I was born in. I've always played along with that idea, but I realised at a certain stage that for some reason I wasn't really happy with it because I don't seem to fully grasp the values of the millennial generation. So I went on and did much research, and found out that I'm actually more aligned with the values of Gen Z, which makes more sense when I slowly realised that I never really clicked with millennial values, even though I understood them at a certain level. The definitions of the Gen Z/Millennial generations have always been confusing anyway as it's been slowly developed as the younger Gen Zs were growing up, and because of that it seems that which generation you belong to really depends on you now! 1997 is the cut off for millennials, from what I’ve gathered. So as ‘96 babies, you guys are millennials, and as a ‘98 baby, I’m Gen Z, but we both relate to both!
