(i also think this is why scott decided to make fnaf 4 abt the bite of 83, mike and his brother's fates are so connected mike got bit in 87 the same place, but survived and possibly why hes so willing to obey his father in sl, just speculation)

In all seriousness, I genuinely think it was always Scott intention that we were playing as Michael in the Fnaf 4 gameplay. An Easter egg everyone forgets is the night one phone guy reverse call. Unless crying child time travel, he cannot be able to hear that call because that’s in 1993 10 years later also he doesn’t know who phone guy is Also, all of the animatronics almost do the exact same thing as the Fnaf 1 animatronics Bonnie comes from the left chica comes from the right and Freddy and foxy you need to look at in order to stop them.

Honestly if we were playing as Crying Child we would be in the bedroom that we see in the Fnaf 4 minigame. The layout of the bedroom we play in in the main game of Fnaf 4 is different from the layout in the minigame. Therefore in the main game we are playing as Michael and in the Minigame we are C.C.

I don’t think we’re playing as C.C in FNAF four, I think we’re playing as Michael it seems pretty obvious from the beginning since C.C room layout is just completely different to that of the one we spend the night in. If you want more info I’ll happily explain

After mike accidentally killed his brother, Williams used the illusion discs to present this same punishment onto mike, the same thing BV/CC experienced, the same type of nightmares. And my reason why cc died first… Freddy fazbear’s pizza exists along with Fredbears as of the event, but the incident hasn’t happened yet, the SL animatronics were made to kill kids, there had to be something, to make him reach his breaking point, to create something like this, FREDBEAR And SPRING BONNIE, weren’t originally made to kill, so someone dying to it, could make him reach his breaking point, causing him to kill more, on purpose this time though. And for timeline purposes, we know the Freddy fazbears is open, based on the masks, but based on the handunit in SL, we know that Freddy fazbears has been closed, or atleast temporarily closed due to the police search required after the missing Children’s incident.* (And I understand if u say “TLDR”)

Or, what I personally believe, is that BV was put through the experiments as a punishment for running away multiple times and BV is giving Michael the same experience he had to go through via Michael's nightmares.

Personally I think it's mike having nightmares between shifts in Sister Location, since the bunker is below that house.

I think depending on the night is who you play as. It would make sense for the first 5 nights to be Michael since he was more exposed to the core 4 animatronics. The crying child would fit better in the night with nightmare since he supposedly represents death. Its also worth noting that the picture Mike drew could either be Nightmare or Nightmare Fredbear, they both look identical without any coloring.

My theory is that nights 1-5 we play as the Crying Child and it is his nightmares, and nights 6-8 are Micheal’s Nightmare feeling guilty after what he did to his brother. But it’s just a theory

I do think that it is that micheals having reacuring nightmares, but i think thats caused by the crying childs memories of those nightmares. Basically, the fnaf book, "alone together", i think it was called, explaines that when someone is being haunted, a lot can happen, such as sometimes, the one being haunted can gain the gosts memories, as we likely see with micheal. That also must be why we can see some hospital equipment in the fnaf 4 bedroom, it was the last thing the crying child saw, or atleast was around. So, i believe that crying child was the one to have these nightmares in the first place, then, after the bite, he likely passed those memories onto micheal, hence why we hear phone guys voice.

What I think is that fnaf 4 is cc reliving his memories in order to move on. He does this while inside the golden Freddy suit and while in the fnaf 1 pizzeria.

My theory, is that its both. It DID happen with CC/Evan with illusions and the testing room, but when we play through it, its Mike seeing the nights in his dreams because of Golden Freddy

I personally think both are technically the player. All the easter eggs etc point to Michael but the designs and logic point to CC. The house is underground hinted on the SL blueprints and confirmed in Dittophobia so to experience the events of Fnaf4 they would need to disappear for at least 8 days without anyone noticing, something nearly impossible to Michael as he has friends who would most likely question where he was and most likely attends school. Also Michael's a teen, taller than the player and old enough to understand the concept of "my dad locked me into an underground bunker to run human experiments on me" and for people to believe him, unlike CC who's a little kid and doesn't have friends. Also CC's very scared of the animatronics for an unknown reason and the bedroom is a kid's, not a teens, with a plushie on the bed and other toys on the floor like they're often played with, something which also is true for CC's room in the minigames. With all this I find it very unlikely that the one experiencing the gameplay is Michael. But what about the phone call and the bedside hospital items (which CC most likely didn't see)? That's when how Michael is the player comes in. Obviously CC wouldn't have heard the Fnaf 1 phone call (unless maybe if Golden Freddy was near) nor would he have seen the flowers, iv and pills by his bed so it has to be Michael's nightmare but CC experiencing it in the 80s and Michael having nightmares of it in the 90s aren't mutually exclusive since we have Alone Together which gives us signs of being haunted, one being *having memories that aren't yours* and during Fnaf 1 we see the player (most likely Michael) get the "it's me" messages from (most likely) Golden Freddy. So my answer is that Fnaf 4 is Michael during Fnaf 1 having nightmares of what CC experienced back in around 1983 mixed with his recent experiences at Freddy's and the memories of his brother's final moments. Most likely it's not what Scott intended but it ties everything together neatly

I'm not an expert on FNaF lore, but I feel like FNaF4 makes more sense if we're playing as the Crying Child. The nightmares paint the player as the victim of the situation. The Nightmare animatronics are directly attacking & scaring us. The game clearly doesn't paint us as suffering from guilt in any way. There's nothing anywhere to suggest that we're at fault for anything. It paints us as being the victim of the situation.

after I calculated how tall the player we were playing turned out to be 3"3 and Evan's height was 3"2 and if Michael Afton's height was 7 feet that means it was true that what we were playing was CC

I have a slightly different theory. Remember, it's very possible that Michael was SCUPed before the events of FNaF4, and we've seen in the secret room at Entertainment & Rentals that William was either conducting experiments in his own house with children he kidnapped with the Funtime anatronics, or, he was recreating sections of his house to use as part of his experiments with the FNaF4 animatronics. My theory is that Mike was infused with the remnant of the kids that were being experimented on by William when SCUPed, making him have nightmares with those memories, while also mixing parts of his own experiences in the process.

Wait it’s weird that we hear a distorted phone guy call because at that time (1983) Michael hasn’t worked his first night shift at Freddy’s yet. His first time hearing Phone Guy was in 1993 and FNAF 4 is in 1983, which is 10 years prior. I also think that we play as Michael but the whole Phone Guy thing doesn’t really add up. I thought nightmare foxy hid in the closet to represent Michael in the mini games from Evan’s point of view

I believe that we play as the crying child in FNAF 4 Cuz, as you can see, the bedroom has toys scattered everywhere, and has a closet. Which is way different than Michael's room in FNAF 5. Of course, we could argue that michael was present in 2 rooms in their respective games. But Michael only has the crying child's plushies and not the other toys we see in the bedroom, therefore, proving that the crying child is the one we play as in FNAF 4. Even the bed from where the freddles (mini nightmare freddys) spawn, has a colourful bedsheet. Even if michael has the toys of the crying child, why would he even have a COLOURFUL bedsheet? Though, It is just my opinion!

So I think in night six and all the extra nights I think you play as Micheal which is why he is specifically drawing nightmare which is an animatronic that if this is true, crying child would’ve never seen
