i get so emotional every time i watch this performance. the public knows how difficult that time was for her but you could still feel her gratitude to be there and she still showed out. she had come so far when this came out and i'm so so proud of her

this performance was so wholesome and im so fcking proud of her. she went through her parents split, went through her ex / friend dying, a failed engagement and a terrorist attack, and she still pushed forward and came out the right way. her choking up and almost crying shows how true and raw these songs and emotions are to her. she put so much work in this and her music and in herself, and i am so grateful for her experience. and she switched it up during the performance. a true vocalist and inspiration. sm talent. so excited for whats to come.

Mac’s birthday is the 19th, and on the 17th of January his family approved the release of his posthumous album Circles. So this performance is in remembrance of him and celebrating his album release, thus explaining the giant circle behind her as she sings Imagine.
