I completely relate to this song. It gives me the feeling of really wanting or needing someone, and not being sure they fully want you back. Almost feeling like you are a burden because you're so needy. So in order to feel better, you try to convince yourself they want you too, although it might not be fully true. I really relate to this song. I always feel guilty for crying because I feel like I'm over reacting, but this song reminds me that we all have feelings, and everyone is allowed to cry.

Let me say.. ‘‘imagine’’ is about having an imagination about what life would be if someone was here with you. ‘‘needy’’ is about how you can be thinking how you can make it without a person but can manage to only be needed for the things you do. ‘‘NASA’’ is about when you need space from someone, but you can’t seem to live without em or be around their amount of space. ‘‘bloodline’’ is about you not wanting alot of someone, because you don’t even want to claim to be all yours, so you would not want them to be apart of you. ‘‘fake smile’’ is about you realizing how the world sees you , depending on your appearance, like if you’re happy or sad or etc, but you try to hide it with a smile, but only can do it so much. ‘‘bad idea’’ is about being self aware about a relationship not going right. but you try to come up with ideas to not make the relationship toxic.. ‘‘make up’’ is all about you and your partner trying to make up for the things you have done to each other, good or bad. ‘‘ghostin’’ is about apologizing to people who you reject being with but was happy with and also wishing to do better. ‘‘in my head’’ is about painting pictures in your head about something but it’s all so far from reality, but you try to remain calm about it and move on. ‘‘break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored’’ is all about you wanting someone back or want to break up someone from another person because you want that boy/girl all to yourself for fun. I just came back to this song after a while and now it just reminds me of the horrible and depressive state my mind was in at the time. For anyone who needs to hear this, life does get better, remember that. Even when it seems hard, don't give up. I promise you if you just keep going it DOES get better.

This song makes me so happy, I cant even put it into words how I start crying, thinking about my relationship with my bf. The tears I shed arent for loss but it just shows that this song helps me cope with it. We love you, Ariana, it´ll only get better from here 💖

i love how short and simple this song is, but how much emotion and meaning it has. definitely my most favorite on the album, mostly because of how relatable it is. but you know ari was definitely going through something when she wrote this, i some how think it's for mac (like a lot of the songs on the album).

After all I have been through. This is the only thing that is helping me keep going everyday. I feel better knowing I'm not alone in this world and someone like her feels the same thing as me.

My personal favorite from the album. Perfectly conveys the aspects of being needy and wanting instead of "silly" or "annoying" but the much darker side of it. The internal struggle and broken bondage that comes with a "needy" heart. Love this so much.

I also am needy. When I don’t feel good I crave my loved ones’ emotional security. When they are wrong I am in constant need of their apology and constantly overthink everything. The only thing I want is genuine apology and a sincere hug or a peck and I get clingy. But the difference between me and most people is that, while needy people feel pure sadness I feel pure mix of sadness and ANGER. I become so aggressive and I can’t hold back on my feelings.

This is the best song for me rn cause of how it sounds. Everything about this is SO GOOD. I find that most people relate to the lyrics, and I do too but for me it’s just the melody and the chord progressions. I don’t know how to describe it, but I always look for songs with similar sounds to this one. Or maybe similar keys. Just anything with similar notes. And also, since the vocals and instrumental are both light, but not too light, it’s perfect for times when I’m tired but I need to listen to some good music, but since I’m tired I cant listen to anything too harsh or loud (like 90% of my music)
