What we don't realise is that Ariana loved Pete and was happy with him, and vice versa. It might not have worked out, but that doesn't mean that this track is "embarrassing" or that this song didn't age well. If anything, I think this song shows that Ariana loved Pete, thought he was “*the one*” and showed that she truly thought they'd be happy together. Kind of the definition of "right person, wrong time." In fact, I think all of Ariana's relationships were under that category. Right person, wrong time. Or not necessarily "right" person, but one of the "few" people. This track just shows another life experience/journey that she went through, and I think all experiences should be treasured.
