The final vault they crack in the casino is actually the same vault they crack at the end of this film. What you find out though is that this specific vault has an ease of access trap door that opens near the entrance in case of a robbery. He fell into that shit in AoTD glenn dumpster style.

@@Methyll he is saying it because there are several time loop hints given in AOTD. I think the nuke explosion reset the loop every time. I think whole cast will return in the sequel as it's already in development. The anime prequel series will explore more of the zombie origins which will come out next year with all actors returning their respective voice roles.

Sequel already greenlit and in development. A prequel animated series will premiere next year. Zack is currently working on space opera movie Rebel Moon for Netflix. I think he will shoot AOTD 2 after completing Rebel Moon or he can give the sequel to anyone else if he gets to JL sequels or any other big budget film. Netflix wanna keep him onboard as they signed a first look deal with him.

It was a surprisingly entertaining film. Simple, never takes itself seriously, goes straight from point A to B. Interesting cast (and very beautiful...) and it not only ties in nicely with the Army of the Dead (which I did not really like) but it gives one very nice story arch for a character, with lots of foreshadowing.

And that one simple guy could instantly turn into a criminal just because of one message from a video. Worse part is the MC fell in love with the main female who's been a criminal with lots of charges since she was 16. The way they entered the facilities were utterly hilarious they don't even have any disguise or cover, their faces were clearly seen in the camera. They failed at the very basic of Robbery.

to be honest this feels a lot more like fan service bc dieter was so loved by fans in aotd. id bet that 80% of ppl who watched aotd loved dieter and his character so this is more of like a spinoff for the fans

It has been a long long time since I saw this movie. I watch hundreds of flicks every year. This is one of the very good ones. Memorable and quirky good. It ranks in the heights of heist movies, and steals the top spot in the genre, IMO.

He has always been versatile. The nice thing is that he doesn't really have to pretend. His natural way is not lost in any film. That's what I like about him.

If they're going to make a sequel I hope they will title it "Ludwig Dieter" and for the Army of the Dead I hope it will be a prequel about where the leader zombie originated. Army of Thieves is such a masterpiece.
