If she play what she is doing now with lots of power then we will see a boring final for long long period of time . I don’t mind that . Been a long time that I never saw a consistent player since Justin Hennin retired .

good analogym. yea. barty is the only hurdle for kerber these past few tournaments. even sometimes with a weak 2nd serve, she still wins. that's a sign of close to prime angie. hope she keeps it up and improve even more. she had sever break pointa here in 2nd set.

Serena becoming an even greater player in her 30s and against younger players is beautiful as well.. sad to watch different players week in and week out be so inconsistent that would be a better assessment

Kerber had a really tough draw to survive and she played jaw-dropping tennis throughout the tournament. She is gonna travel to New York with loads of confidence and hopefully make a deep run there as well. As far as Barty is concerned, whichever tournament she plays she becomes the favorite to win it.

It is good to see, especially because I'm an Aussie. It looked like Osaka might be dominant but she doesn't seem to take tournaments seriously outside of grand slams which leads to some very inconsistent results.

I think Pliskova will play Barty in the final

Kerber has every weapon to beat any player. She proved that in three GS. Unfortunately she often forgets to use them

I do agree but I think Kerber is a great tactician too. You can’t beat Serena in two major finals especially 2016 AO peak Serena without that ability. Barty just serves so well that it’s hard for Kerber to attack and then she ends up on defense too much. Kerber would have to serve lights out to take some pressure off but she doesn’t have an ace generating serve. It’s tough! Barty allowed Azarenka 2 games and nearly 0 just a few days ago. She’s becoming so tough to beat. I will sat Angie didn’t come to net much, and I’d like to see her approach to the Barty weak slice backhand. She could really put pressure on it.

@@moviefan4life166 I don't think the backhand slice is weak. It's one of the best in WTA, of Graf's standards! Completely takes away all the pace and keeps the ball low. Perfect defensive shot for Barty's game that has saved her countless number of times against aggressive players like Sabalenka and Kvitova.

Yeah becoz Barty plays like a man’s game . She can finish the point so quickly which not a lot of women can do it now where there is a lot of unpredictable and inconsistent rallies . Oh no grunting, loosing temper, smashing rocket , no showing off….How about that?? So if you don’t understand how the games works then stay to round one game with men and woman
