She wouldn't divorce her first husband so they couldn't marry. I read this not long ago. The writer said her husband was gay and she stayed married to him to help him deny being gay. I have no idea if it was true or not. She claimed he made her end pregnancies. He had kids with women before her and had kids after her. Some out of marriage and some not. I've watched every movie he made.
