This video singlehandedly made me ATINY. True story. I can actually tell you the exact moment I knew I was hooked: EXACTLY 1:00-1:05. 3rd or 4th mv/content of theirs I'd ever seen and those 5 seconds (plus the entirety of the video) made me ATINY for life. Center Yunho staring straight into the camera like he's looking into my soul and killing it with the choreography... quickest "okay this is weird, maybe they're not for me" to "might as well just take all of my money now, cause I'm sold" turn-around I've ever had lol I had been checking out their mvs and wasn't quite sure what I thought of them yet (their style of music and performance is so different from what I was used to), and this just popped up as one of the recommended videos in the chain. The way they all committed 100% to (what seemed to me at the time) this wacky concept with over-the-top makeup/styling but totally owned it... idk it was so unapologetically "This is who we are and this is what we do, and we don't care what anyone else thinks because this is what WE want to do and we love it" and it instantly endeared them to me. Honestly, k-pop needs more performers like ATEEZ who are so passionate about what they do and give every performance 100%. It reminds you that music/dance is ART and not just pushing catchy "viral hits" to sell albums. (edit: That's not meant to be a drag against other groups or the industry, btw. I think everyone can agree there's just something "different" about ATEEZ. They have an energy/aura that sets them apart, not to mention their stage presence and sheer talent)
