unless your group's storyline is about "8 pirates coming together to find their treasure but before that they have to fight their evil alter-egos and then they dine together but a mysterious masked man in white appears. then they travel back in past and travel through different dimensions and they become younger through a help of man with a black fendora whom we absolutely don't know the intentions." don't speak about ateez ever again. read that? that's how complex, confusing, and interesting ateez's storyline is. so stop saying that they're trying to copy. ateez is way above your accusations.

The fact that 4 of them are actually debuting as actors in a drama now is making me so proud :')

coming back here after eden confirmed that ateez's music is based on ateez's own experience and/or the environment they grew up on. i know this is related to them somehow in some way but looking at this again and understanding it in a different perspective, it hits home too well.

OK so this is my theory: Hongjoong: He must have done something really bad but he is hiding it by staying alone and being reserved. The man in the black mask is none other than his dark past he is trying to hide all the time. Then we can see him in front of many screens. Those screens must be a part of his dark past. Then again we see him in an isolated room. He was talking about his parents and his close ones in that room, so his dark past must be related to his parents but his time is limited as the hourglass is moving on. Seonghwa: He was a boy who lacked confidence and thought that everything is limited but he meets a girl who tells him that nothing is limited as long as you think its limited then its limited. So he crosses his boundary and becomes more confident and rebelling. Wooyoung: He was a boy who suffered from stage fright. So he used to stay alone but then he meets his friends (ateez members) who gives him confidence to go in stage and show them who you are. Then we can see that he is trapped in a room. That means he is again becoming afraid. Again becoming afraid of all those eyes staring at him. He was again becoming afraid that what will people think of him. Yeosang: He was a rich boy with a father who used to keep him in a 24 hours surveillance and he used to feel unfulfilled. But then he meets the ateez members who taught him what real happiness and freedom was. He was kind of like a caged bird, got space but limited until someone let's him out. San: He was a boy who had nowhere to live so he used to settle down wherever he could. When he met the members he was really happy but once again he had to move but he didn't this time, he went back and stayed there. He never really had friends because no one approached him as he had no parents and used to live alone until he met the ateez members. Yunho: He was a boy who suffered from delusions. His brother died a long time ago but he still imagines that his brother is there. Then we find him in a road where he got hit by a car. That is actually his brother got hit by a car but he is imagining it. He became a singer to fulfill his brother's wish. Jongho: He is a physically disabled boy but he loves basketball. He never played basketball because of his leg. When he met the ateez members they gave him hope about his life and leg by making him sing dance and smile. Mingi: He was a bully because he was so lonely. He never really cared about anyone's feelings until he met his members. At a part we see him in a fight with jongho. He must have told jongho something offending because since he once was a bully he forgot how to talk to people who he loves. But inside he truly loves them. In the end we see Hongjoong in a empty room with a hourglass. He was the only one who knew that their time was limited. If they cross the time some sort of consequence can happen. He thought he was alone in this but he was wrong, he was not alone. His members were there beside him. I personally think that all of their dreams a somehow connected. Probably it was destiny that they were suppose to meet. That's it this is my theory. Hope it is interesting. BTW Stan ateez for clear skin and good grades. Thnx for coming to my Ted talk. :-) Edit: After reading some other comments I realised that on Hongjoong's part there the screens were one of block b music video and ateez wonderland. I think those are Hongjoong's dreams of becoming a singer. Block b was probably his inspiration to be a singer and I think he was imagining themselves as idols so that's why he saw those things in the screens.

I love how deeply intertwined the lore is, it hypes up the listeners and keeps them intrigued. I mean look, we are all rushing back here because of the bracelet! Their power is insane! No one is doing it like Ateez, and that’s what makes them so unique.

This video hits differently now that I know it’s based off of their own personal experiences. They literally shared their own issues and insecurities and implemented it into their music and storyline just for people to call it plagiarism

so theory: the universe was complete for a while but then gor divided into 8 dimensions, one for each member of Ateez. they were all trapped inside that dimension and learned that they only felt happy when they were together, they each had to learn or do one thing to break through and make the dimensions one again (wooyoung had to overcome stage fright, yunho had to face what happened to his brother, seongwha needed to find freedom etc.). when they all come together again, they experienced happiness, but it didn’t last long. mingi and jonho both didn’t overcome their fears (jonho fears failure because of his leg injury and mingi fears falling into depression again) and they got into a fight because of that, and maybe that’s when they get seperated into their demensions and have to complete these things. a possibility is also that they’re trapped in a loop, they complete everything (except mingi and jonho), come together and a fight happens and everything starts over. if that’s the case, the very last scene can be the moment where they finally break through the loop. this is literally all over the place i’m sorry, these were just my thoughts about it and i’m still very confused update: i’m working everything out now and trying to get a full story that fits, my instagram is @b3autiful_strang3r , i’ll be posting my full story there

I think these short films give us these theory: Seonghwa: His story represents *Lack of confidence* . He always thought that he is not good enough and always gave up whenever people told him that he is not good but he is not like that anymore. He is going to not stop till he achieve his goal. Wooyoung: His story represents *Loneliness* . He never had the courage to do anything alone, he felt nervous on stage which made him not to show his full potential. He always felt alone. But after becoming a part of Ateez he was able to dance with the other members. The others gave him courage and love and he felt like he belonged here so now when he performs alone too he is not nervous he never feels alone because he knows his members got his back even if they are not near. Yunho: His story represents *Guilt* . He guilts himself for something bad happening to his brother/or someone and he thinks it is because of him that, that person was not able to fulfill his dreams. So he pledges to fulfill that person's dream through himself. But he also thinks that it should have been him who should have gotten hurt not that person (as we see at the end a bus/truck almost hit Yunho) Yeosang: His story represents *Burden* . As his father always told him to cross his boundaries. Yeosang always burdened himself with living up to everyone's expectations and formed a wall around him and that's why he never opened up to anyone. But after coming to Ateez he stated to feel the love and support of other members and started to open up a little and started to be happy. San: His story represents *Fear of leaving behind the one you love* . As we saw in the story San was moving from his house in the starting. And according to him he moved a lot and had to leave behind a lot of people he cared about and loved. It was always the same. He packed moved and then took the escalator to go down to the airport gate but this time he did not do it. He ran back as he did not want to leave his team and fans behind and took a risk and stayed. Mingi: His story represents *Distrust* . We saw that in the first scene Mingi literally beat the crap out of a man and then he put on some headphones and started to listen to music and suddenly was transported to a room where just one spotlight was shining on him. It means that he just trusts one thing and that is his music. After coming to Ateez he became the fun guy of the team and always showed us a sweet baby boy but in reality it is not true. He needs a lot of time to trust someone and open up to them. This is the truth behind the beautiful smile of Mingi. Jongho: His story represents *Losing of hope* . Jongho used to basketball and we know that he said to us that if he would not be a member of Ateez he would be a sportsman. But due to some incident he had to forget his dream of becoming a sportsman. The other thing that he love is singing and that's why he became a kpop idol but due to his leg injury he is not able to dance and just sit awkwardly on the stage singing while the others dance. He thinks that he needs to leave this dream too but his members are giving him a little hope time to time which is helping him to push forward. Hongjoong: His story represents *Chance* . It seemed like he losed everything his dreams, his friends and even his family. He was stuck in a dimension alone. But suddenly a person came(I think it was Dark Hongjoong from another dimension) and gave him an hourglass which was empty (which means Hongjoong's time is up and he is going to die) but suddenly the hourglass started to fill which means the time is going backwards. Giving Hongjoong another chance to live and fix everything. He brought all the dimensions together and made them one. And everyone came back. As we all know 8 makes 1 team so 8 dimensions makes 1 world. This theory is what I think. What do you guys think? Can I be right? 😁

aaaaahhh I'm starting to understand Mingi's part of the story!!! He says, "I'd rather be alone than encounter the world." So he uses music as a way of escaping reality. When he puts his earbuds on, he transfers from the regular world to an empty world of darkness. This dark world is the loneliness he states he is "used to." When Mingi had a fight with Jongho, instead of talking out their problems, they made matters worse by physically fighting each other. Again, "I'd rather be alone than encounter the world. " He lost his friendship with Jongho because he didn't know how to handle it.

I've cried so many times throughout the whole film, these boys have such a big place in my heart :’)) I also couldn’t help myself and I came up with theories regarding each member's section. I could be really wrong lmao but nonetheless I had fun coming up with these!! (I also mention some of their backgrounds and I am unsure if all of the info is correct) HONGJOONG'S DREAM: He explained in a KQ fellas video that he spent the majority of his time in the studio, meaning that he didn’t have much time for his friends and family and he felt that it was like living in a completely different world from everyone else and he was alone. SEONGHWA'S MEMORY: There is an old video of SH saying how he really didn’t like who he was and he would constantly try to hide his face. Looking back at it now, maybe the thing that he was missing was the ability to love and believe in himself. Now that he's a part of ateez and he sees the many people who love him his confidence has really come out. WOOYOUNG'S CHOICE: wy used to be trainee in another company alongside yeosang but ys eventually left leaving wy alone. In his section it showed how he was scared to pursue his dream because of the fear of being looked down upon by the community. In a vlive us mentioned how wy left their company to go to KQ and when asked why was because he made a promise to ys that they would debut together. Wy now had one of his best friends by his side to support him and he also met 6 other members who would become his best of friends to help him overcome his fears and see that so many people out there love him. YEOSANG'S TIME: As I mentioned ys and wy previously trained in another company. In his part, it looked like he lacked any sort of freedom. Ys is incredibly passionate about his artistry but he felt like he was wasting time in a place where he couldn’t live freely like he was stuck, trapped. So he quit. When the violin dropped and the birds flew free it was symbolizing him finally being able to live without restraint and pressuring reputation to live up to. He was able to be himself and let loose. It was a chance for him to fall in love with his passion once again. SAN'S RESOLUTION: In his section he explained how he would constantly move a lot, I’m assuming it’s because of his parent's work. Because he moved, he didn’t have very many friends, his only close friends were his grandparents, who he explained in a KQ fellaz video that he felt closer to than he did his parents. He picked up a pair of shoes which I believe symbolizes the walks that his grandparents would invite him on. Now that he is a part of Ateez he feels a sense of stability, something permanent, because he now has an incredible group of friends. But he still has his doubts whether it really is permanent. I believe the escalator represents his life, as it is constantly taking him in one direction without much control as to where he's going. But when he decides to turn back and counter the flow of the escalator, it’s like he's saying that he's done being pushed down a path, he's happy where he is and he is willing to work against life (escalator) to stay with ateez. (Also peep the shoes which gave him strength) YUNHO AND HIS BROTHER: This one is gonna be one hell of a stretch but here it is. YH does have a younger brother and in the section it showed broken instruments and a messy ,suicidal room. He also said how it was “his fault” and that he was going to make his brother's dream come true. I'm guessing that his brother wanted to become and idol as well but we’ll know how difficult and complicated becoming an idol is. Maybe his family could only allow/afford one of their kids to become an idol. The train hitting him could represent how his brother felt when he felt his dreams shatter. Now that yh is an idol (a powerful one ;)) ) he will do whatever he can to support his brother's dream. JONGHO'S WANDERING: In a video they did, jh explained how he used to be in a lot of sports back in school and was really good at it (explains his super strength), he said that playing sports was his first dream but in the section he was badly injured and he decided to give up basketball (the ball almost making it was how close he was to reaching his dream but eventually fell short) despite being so passionate about it, I believe that it was then he developed his passion for music and performing. Which lead him to ateez, however, now that he knows what it feels like to lose a dream because of an injury, he’s very concerned about the health of his members. When he and Mingi fought in his section (I’m giving their fight in mg's section a different meaning to their fight in jh's)it represented how jh felt when mg was going through his injury late last year. He was scared that his friend would have to go through what he did w his first dream. Jh did also hurt his leg late last year/early this year where he had to perform sitting down. I believe that he was so scared that a repeat of of what happened to his first dream would happen and that he’s have to give it yet again. Hence the burning court. MINGI'S DIARY: Mingi's was harder to find connections in just his background so I tried to relate it to not only him but us Atinys as well. Mg was always someone who wanted to be alone because being around others just never worked for him. When he joined ateez he was able to finally let his guard down and be part of a group. There are so many people who feel like outcasts and who would much rather live in their own world alone rather than face the harsh realities of the real one; And although we've found a place where we can be a free, where there is a piece of happiness, mg and jh's fight showed how sometimes the negative feelings will return and we’d want to live in our own world once again because it’s our comfort. But like the lyric “Maybe we're living younger, that’s why we're fever.” We can’t dwell in the past because that’ll only give us pain. We have to allow ourselves to move forward to truly be happy. ENDING: The entire time the hourglass has been reversing, representing the ability to have more time. The members approaching HJ not only represented HJ not being alone anymore but also the fact that because they all joined ateez, each member has a chance to overcome the part of their life that made them the most unhappy. - If you decide to repost pls give credit thank you :D

Now we know that Yunho's brother on the film had a car accident and fell into a coma. Jongho couldn't let go of his passion with basketball cuz it was his first dream. He felt so lifeless and empty despite trying so hard to hold on. He had a second dream and that is to pursue 'music' together with the members. And the reason why Jongho punched Mingi is becuz Mingi said that he is quiting on their dream of doing music together, he thought that their dream was a luxury and that the time they spent together meant nothing to him and that made Jongho so mad. 'Problems keeps on piling up like laundry' (from the diary booklet) the harsh reality burdened them so much. And slowly each member forgets about their promises together and decided to go their separate ways.

So we have Hongjoong who lost everything, Seonghwa who’s looking for something, Wooyoung who was too late, Yeosang who wanted to be someone outside of the expectations of adults, San who wanted stability, Yunho who wanted to carry out his brother’s dream but lost the chance, Jongho who gave up on his dream, and Mingi who wanted to to live out the days where he felt needed and valued but he threw it away believing he doesn’t need it. Essentially there’s those who are looking for a treasure and those who lost it.

*My theory :* They're alone in 8 dimensions until they met each other. However their friendship is getting shattered. They left one by one, the last one might be Wooyoung since the place has been closed down. Woo late as Hongjoong already travelled back in time using the cromer given by Fedora man (Halateez). "This is the story where their dimensions are *split into 8 pieces again.* " Hongjoong start their time again as all of the members gathered back at the warehouse. They are together now, in Fireworks they're preparing for a battle. The masked man start tracking them. ATEEZ confronted Halateez in SMN n HalaHala, wooyoung might be two-faced as he's 'killing' everyone behind their back in HalaHala. Halateez eventually help them finding their treasure, but getting trapped in their illusion/dream by the masked man. The guy want them feels the illusion as if a paradise, as Ateez can't tell the reality. Halateez stand tall at the end of the cave/time machine, leading Ateez to go back to reality n travel. Their inner selves (Halateez) whispered 'open your eyes' n they did wake up in wave. They're now almost arrive at their target dream, Woo's ego/demon getting chained. They finally be able to go through the large gate in Wonderland MV. They get their answer, the MV briefly shows their journey (mirror, clock, snow, palace, the desert, sea, time machine). ATEEZ & Halateez celebrate their success of finding the treasure, n travel back to their previous timeline. Jongho's newly released 'Everything' Poster an hour ago has Jongho standing infront of the burning basketball court! We're really back to World A

"Ateez's music is based on their own life" It's so damn true. I get inspired by them, who they are? It's like I'm stanning them and finding something new. It's interesting. I love them for that, I'm finding something new

Here's my own conclusion: So Mingi's story takes place the first, they used to be together and happy but when the fight between Mingi and Jongho occurred, that's when those happy memories ended (temporarily) 6:40 it shows the place they used to go and spend time together but because of this accident, the place is closed and the warning says "the one who's gonna enter will go to prison or have to pay 10M won so it's better to sell it", which means they can no longer be together when they became alone, the fedora man who came to Hongjoong was their savior, the sand glass was like a countdown, when Hongjoong woke up, the countdown began. He was living in another dimension where he can see his life without the other members and so was each other one, they were living a life without anyone with them until they realized how valuable their friendship was, the message that Yunho got was notifying him the countdown ended and it's time to go back into reality (in my opinion, all the members got this message but they didn't show it except Hongjoong who had the sand glass which was a countdown like I said), at the end of the video, Hongjoong was standing on this place holding the sand glass showing the countdown ended and it was time each one had to return back together after realizing how much problems they had they can only smile when they're by each other's side, after they regretted being separated. Together, they were able to forget their sadness and smile. That was the fedora's man mission, to bring them back together (I found someone saying the fedora man is a glitch between all the 8 members, all of them are that man who was trying to fix their old mistake). About the girl in Seonghwa's part, I think she's showing the opposite side of Seonghwa, him trapped in darkness (he found a silver bracelet saying "Be Free" which was the thing he was missing in his whole life, also he was sitting on a desk with a lot of to do lists on the wall, he kept following orders from someone he doesn't know how to live his own life with his own choices, that's why he needed to be free) while the girl living listening to music and dancing freely in the street like she was alone. San used to move more than once, until he met the members and was happy with them, but after the fight he thought he lost his friends so he had to move again, (those shoes maybe they're the ones he used to wear when he was dancing with them). Just when he was about to leave, he thought he can't give up on them not after he found his real home which is the members. Yeosang, was like the birds trapped in those cages, -lonely- had to do things he didn't wanna do until those birds were able to fly freely which was a sign the countdown ended and he realised what he truly wants. The video represents a saying "You only know the importance and the value of something only when you lose it". And this was their happy memories together.

Theory: they were all good friends, but had one fight which let them to seperate from each other. So the black man is telling hongjoong to save everyone and their friendship as well. While the other members were in their own world, they weren't happy anymore. What they had to find was themselves and freedom to live. Be happy for who you you really are. Don't be trapped in someone else's life. Create your own life. Most importantly find friends that will live those live with you and create good memories of happiness that will last

Mingi's made me cry...my diary is like that. I was alone and then Someone found me who loved me and we had many good memories. I messed up and fought with Them. Now I literally put my headphones back on so I can't hear them. "I was always alone anyway"... thinking I'm okay without Them. 💔

Watching everyone else’s part: *dang that’s deep* Watching Wooyoung’s Choice: *straight booty poppin twerkin nasty*

So... I’m going to go with a simple theory and say that somewhere along the way, ATEEZ lost themselves. At the end of Answer, we know that something clearly went wrong after the toast between ATEEZ and the Suicide Squad. What exactly went wrong? We’re never told. Also, Hala Hala was filmed in a warehouse where we see the members die - except for Wooyoung... a warehouse which they all now happen to be trapped in together and Wooyoung can’t seem to find the exit. Each of the members have their own demons to overcome because it seems as though they truly have lost sight of their treasure. When we get to Yunho’s part, we see him pick up broken pieces of a guitar. A guitar which Jongho is seen playing in multiple scenes. And then Yunho gets a text right before the car accident happens. This leads me to believe that Yunho isn’t referring to his actual brother, but to Jongho (who he considers a brother). We know that Jongho was in a car accident earlier this year which really prevented him from being one with the team. Although the press has released official information over the accident, this could be an artistic take on ATEEZ’s part. In Jongho’s section, where he is seen broken and injured, we see him attack Mingi and the reasons are quite unclear. However, when we see Mingi’s section, it should be noted that Mingi is the only other member to receive a text. I may be going on a limb here and say that texting and driving may have happened and/or Yunho and Mingi have a role to play in the car accident (again, artistically speaking). At the end, the Suicide Squad is urging ATEEZ to go back in time and to confront those demons. The Suicide Squad, although portrayed in a dark light, is simply a symbolism of their strong desire to reach the top. To win. To find the treasure and cling to it - no matter the means. It may even mean losing part of themselves along the way. After all, ATEEZ and the Suicide Squad both have the same end goal. But if they are broken, there is no way to succeed and fulfill the promises they made to themselves when they joined to form ATEEZ. The Suicide Squad knows that ATEEZ needs to be whole again and become one, so they’re trapped in the warehouse until they’re able to overcome their demons. Because the 8 members are stronger as 1 than they are alone.

This is my first time watching this as a Babytiny, but this ... the quality, the camerawork, the acting, the message, the storyline ... brilliant, impeccable, exquisite, I just don't regret hopping on board this pirate ship. Thanxx so much, ATEEZ.

Simple theory: there was a group of 8 boys. All with different past stories, regrets and fears. as those 8 boys find each other and become one, everything stopped. Their fears, regrets and even pasts we're all less traumatic. They became happy because of each other and they need each other so the Happiness won't fade. Any second or minute the boys aren't with each other, their fears will come back to them. In conclusion: Ateez is Ateez's own happiness and they need each other to feel something no fear nor regrets and past mistakes can take away

Ateez honestly has the best concept/storyline in kpop. there are a ton of amazing ones but I feel like ateez just is different for me and I love that.

All these times we thought HALATEEZ were going to ruin everything and were evil, but it turns out that they're saving ATEEZ and giving a chance for Hongjoong to repair their past by going back through time. we really do be dumbtinys.

wtf I came back from watching Illusion tell me why tf I started crying during Jonho's part- the cinematography of the burning background around Jongho is absolutely stunning

So if I may add my theory here : I think Yunho's brother is actually Jongho (because we see him playing the guitar like Yunho's brother did) and somehow at some point Yunho Accidentally caused the fight between Mingi and Jongho (the time on the phone with the message) after which Jongho ran off and got hit by a truck and injured his leg so bad that the doctors told him he wouldn't be able to play basketball or dance anymore. After that it became too painful for him to be with his friend as it reminded him of his broken dreams so he left them which made Yunho feel guilty and thus he left the group as well. And at the same time Mingi felt betrayed when Jongho attacked him and decided he was better off alone. As for the others I think San just moved away and couldn't stay connected with his friends somehow (maybe bc they were already starting to split each in their own direction at the time direction). Seonghwa I think he felt he was not good enough for them or maybe that he should have been able to find a way to keep his friends from going their own way (all the papers on the board could be his attempts at finding a solution) and by doing so he somehow got stuck into a vicious cycle that lead him to "trap" himself away from his friends by trying so hard to keep them all together. Yeosang I think he was forced to leave them by someone (not necessarily his father since he said that he always pushed him to reach out for his dreams) a'd he obeyed bc he was scared of disappointing said someone. As for Wooyoung honestly I'm not sure maybe when the others started to fight he got scared he would be left alone again so he left his friends to avoid that but realised that he was wrong only by then it was already too late and the group had already split completely (closed doors) and there was nothing to go back to. A'd as for Hongjoong I think he's just the victim of it all, that one guy who was here from the start and saw all his friends leave one by one without being able to do anything and who couldn't move on as if time had stopped after he lost his friends. Please let me know what you think I really love hearing other people's point of view and theories!

why does Yeosang gives me the vibe of a prince who feel 'trapped' in his own 'castle' that later he found his 'freedom' after he met his true friends? wow...

My theory is: Hongjoong is their leader he is the glues that keeps them all together he has made peace with his past thats why you can see himself handing over the hourglass to the real hongjong the tvs represent thats where he wants to take ateez to that kind of fame??at then end he is holding the hourglass again but its not moving thats when they all start to come together he wants them to accepts their hurtful past and accept themselves as they are?? For seonghwa the girl represents the freedom he wants she is dancing and expressing herself freely. For wooyoung my theory is without ateez he is nothing they have helped him concur his fears and not feel alone. For yeosang he didn't feel free before coming apart of ateez now that he is his life has meaning and he is free he is happy. For san he is scared of moving and having no friends once again as he moved around alot as a child but chooses not to turn his back on his friends meaning ateez so goes back to being with them. Yunho i believe he had a brother before before debut but cus he was always busy maybe he was not there to protect him and feels guilty about his brothers dream was to obviously be a singer so yunho is making it come true. For jongho he had a dream to play basketball but got injured and they gave up on him he is scared incase the same happens again thats why he fights mingi i will explain in mingis part. Mingis part i believe he had friends that turned on him in the past and listening to music with headphones makes him feel free he is scared of expressing himself to others and his happiness is only short lived so he was willing to give it all up not to get hurt again and be alone thats why him and jongho had a fight because jongo wants his dream to become true and make mingi realise he is not alone

13:10 The details in Mingi’s acting tho. I am shooked. His part hits hard now. And its something I can relate. I miss him.

It’s like 5 am and I’ve spent like 2-3 hours just theorizing things and it’s too much to write and I forgot a lot of it since I connect the dots by talking out loud but long story short Hongjoong : leader boy uses hourglass from mystery man that might also be from hala era or answer to try and reverse everyone’s pain or hardship. The hourglass is reversing and so is the environment around him. In order to get everyone back and act how they used to he must go back in time or he must finish something by the time the sand runs out since the hourglass goes back to normal when he opens his eyes for the second time. The TVs that are seen could be the life that all 8 used to live in together but they’ve all been separated so that why he said something about being trapped and unable to reach the world in the TVs. Seonghwa : he has been following a path but reach a roadblock. He can easily go past it since he is seen walking over the stop. The girl represents his discovery for a new passion but in order to achieve this new dream he first needs to obtain freedom. Since he’s first in a detective like area at the beginning maybe he’s also in a time where he is also trying to get back to everyone and is trying to connect the. It’s and pieces. The area with the girl is the same that hongjoong was at so maybe the area has something to do with memories. Wooyoung: he had stage fright and was unable to dance in front of others. Once he met the future members of Ateez he finally felt comfortable to dance. The wall the appears, not sure what it said though, could be a metaphor for when he was a big hit trainee. Maybe he had to choose being with the company and a possible BTS member or being with the guys from Ateez moving to a different company and actually being happy. Torn between his dream and his happiness. Yunho: this brother that is mentioned had clearly passed away. The brother also had a passion for music and it seems that the guy air was what he would always play. Yunho feels guilty for his brothers death but would still like to achieve his brothers dream. 5:07 is the time on the phone which can also mean the time of death or the notification of what happened. Also the car accident is highly likely to be a flashback of the cause of death. In real life we know that yunho has a younger brother maybe it is an older brother that had died and we did not know about. It is also possible that the brother could just be a close brotherly figure in is life and blood related in anyway as well. The time 5:07 appears when Mingi and Jongho are fighting so maybe the notification about or from the brother came in but Yunho was too busy trying to stop the fight that he couldn’t prevent the brothers death. Yeosang : he feels like his a bird stuck in a cage which is symbolic to having no freedom and no way to choose what you can do. He is seen as a kind of prestigious student since the school area is very nice and the students are all learning the violin, which is also on if the instruments that some parents think their child should learn so they’re successful. Anyways he doesn’t want to learn the violin and live a life we’re he is unable to do what he wants. Once he is with the rest of Ateez he feels like he finally came out of his cage and can experience true freedom and happiness. Jongho: his dreams of being a basketball player were crushed due to his injury. He gave up hope for a career in the sport and ended up finding joy in music, but sadly he had fights with mingi making him feel like he couldn’t persue another dream. His fights with Mingi could be because the worries of not being able to have a music career made him lash out in anger and since Mingi is seen fighting in his segment, it is possible that that’s another reason they fought. Maybe they had a really heated argument over music or their career as an idol that it caused them to fight. Either way Jongho was losing hope for achieving his dreams and probably just didn’t want the one he had a good chance of reaching to be destroyed again. San: he had to move a lot so he had no sense of stability in his environment. He was afraid of moving again and losing the new friends he made. He had the choice of going through with life and the repeated steps he experienced over and over again or straying away from what could happen and go and be happy with the boys. He runs up the escalator because he realized that he wanted to stay with the guys and be happy. He found happiness and good friends, he didn’t want them to be left behind. Mingi: now here’s a situation most of us relate to and that’s listening to music as an escape from the real world. It seems that Mingi would get into fights, reasons for why are currently unknown but he could of either been the kid that looked to mean to be friends with or he got bullied and ended up beating the sh*t out of those that bothered him. Like some of the others being with Ateez made him feel happy, like he finally had friends and belonged. Once he got into the fight with jongho he no longer felt happy and thought maybe it would be better if I was just all alone again. Music was still always his refuge since he is seen several times putting in and taking out his earbuds. At the end everyone gathers in the warehouse looking room around hongjoong this can be all the shattered realities coming together again or just hongjoong seeing how everyone is different and needs to help them. I feel the story revolves around their past, how their lives are different from being split, the hourglass, and old theories that might come from previous albums and link back up to the one coming out soon. To the person taking time to read this I hope that this might’ve helped or something but there are too many groups with their own storylines that it’s making my head go wack and I feel like I’m just slowly becoming more like a dumbtiny with theories now. Good night even though it’s like 6:30 in the morning now.

I recently discovered these guys and their repertoire is exceptional. This concept has enormous potential. they deserve even more!

The deep storyline of Ateez hooked me and im never letting them go, they're truly the best. Im tired of saying this to myself why am i jyst stanning them 1 month ago when i could have them since 2018. ANYWAYS STR€@M AND VOTE THEM FOR KINGDOM PLEASE.

What if through this, they're telling us about their real life in a way? Their past, insecurities, hopes and wishes, regrets, etc. Hongjoong as a leader must had to sacrifice a lot to become an idol so he wants to turn back time to get back the relationships were damaged or broken. Also, the television he sees has ATEEZ performing on it, it shows that maybe he was scared whether ATEEZ would debut or not (since it is very big deal in K-pop, sometimes debuts are scrapped last minute due to various reasons or happen because an artist did not perform and the rookie group gets the stage) Seonghwa who followed a given path, being told that he was lacking in things, meeting a girl (friend/love interest/classmate/someone he randomly met) telling him that he doesn't have to walk the path others put him on. She shows him that by her actions (shown by her free spirited dance, maybe he decided to pursue music and dance after seeing her?) Wooyoung was a BigHit trainee before he shifted to KQ Entertainment to be with Yeosang. As a trainee he must have been afraid of performing on stage alone but he gained confidence after meeting ATEEZ members, who helped him overcome his fear and excel in his skills. The locked warehouse can represent something from the past that meant a lot to him but had to let go of it eventually (maybe an old hangout spot/old dance practice room/predebut times perhaps?) Yeosang being told that he can follow his dreams but only in a certain field, violin as it's shown (many Asian parents want their kid to know at least one instrument like the violin, piano, or something along those lines). He knew that it was exactly like a cage, that there was only limited freedom for him and everyone around him. But it changed when he finally met ATEEZ, that's why he is a little shocked when he meets them. He realizes that he is finally and truly free to follow his dreams with them. San who must have had to shift/move when he was younger didn't give him a constant set of friends so he kept his distance (hence no friends despite having gone to three different schools). He blindly followed where life took him (him keeping his eyes closed) until he decided to become a trainee (the shoes hint about his dancing ability). That is when he decides to make his choice and stick to ATEEZ members, not wanting to seperate from his friends again (opening his eyes on the escalator). Yunho's reel is a bit confusing because he says that what happened to his 'hyung' was his fault, whereas he has a younger brother in real life. He is also associated/ implied as Mingi's brother since they trained in a dance academy together for five years but even Mingi is younger than him. Maybe I'll update this later oof. Jongho's first passion was basketball but I don't know why he gave that up (an injury? he's never mentioned it till now I think). He was also quite athletic in school. Maybe he gravitated towards dance and music when he had the supposed injury? Like with his first dream, he is afraid that this dream of being with ATEEZ and music will end too. His insecurities show up as anger(?) and that's why he fights with Mingi and then regrets it later on. Mingi from the beginning had interest in rapping and dancing and even trained at a dancing academy with Yunho for five years but he couldn't stay with him when they were sent to different locations by a company they got into. That's why he feels alone and uses music as an escape. When he finally met ATEEZ he felt happy for a while but after the fight with Jongo he feels that he was never the cause of any happiness for himself or others and pessimistically starts thinking that he is alone again. (I really hope the second part of the diary film clarifies stuff more TvT) Aside from the real experiences in it, it's also a concept. So what if ATEEZ being together in this reality is because of the choice Hongjoong made in a different one? That's why ATEEZ approach him in those different clothes. It's ATEEZ's destiny (Atiny rises hehehe). Also think about it, if Hongjoong wasn't the leader, we wouldn't have this ATEEZ that's in front of us. Please feel free to correct me or add to my rough (and very under researched) theory, I literally spent only maybe 40 mins on it so it might not be 100% correct sorry. I cried a whole vid, the stories are so personal and deep, but I'm sure suits to everyone watching this. But the end of the video just gets me. It just shoot me in my heart with words "Can I find it again?" Its been a long time since i was a teenager, a lot of sh*t happened, but believe me, it's better to have that short times of happines and broken dreams than to have nothing.
