The reason Blastoise levelled up so quickly compared to Zapdos is simply because Blastoise and Zapdos are in the fastest and slowest exp group respectively. Which is pretty interesting. Edit: Mightyena using fly is so funny to me.

The fact that Zapdos was a starter that died, and smallant got a Zapdos out of a set of fossils, is amazing to me.
