You are not alone with your balloon popping phobia! I hate blowing them up because I'm afraid they'll pop. Even watching others blow them up makes me anxious. Ironically, I like playing the game of keeping them off the ground, but if they get near something that could pop them, or something causes them to squeak, I flinch. And balloon animals are the WORST. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but watching them be made and hearing that squeak as they're bent and twisted. @.@ I flinch and recoil away the whole time.

I just made some toast with some Oatnut bread. It was still (before toasting) despite being over two weeks past its best by date. Storage method: Twist, tuck, toss it on the counter.

i keep my bread in the freezer too! keeps it nice and fresh and after you toast it you can't even tell it was frozen! also makes for a great summertime snack when it's too hot for toast...or when you're just too lazy to make toast. Frozen bread is better than just plain bread.

We keep our “extra loaf” of bread in the freezer and the loaf we’re currently using in the fridge. It keeps is from getting moldy so we can actually finish a whole loaf. We keep our flour tortillas in the fridge, too. And extra bags of (unopened) chips in the freezer…they don’t get stale.

A rare gem. Kris manages to avoid topical issues and remain virtually undated, never comes across negatively, and still be relevant AND entertaining. Not since Kate McKinnon have I seen such versatility. I can tune in angry or depressed and walk away smiling. I have a balloon story for you. Back in 2010 I was working in a dollar store as a cashier. One of my responsibilities was to inflate balloons. Okay, not a bad thing. However, the simple plain balloons used to always pop about 2 feet from my face while being inflated. It's thing to be in a room when a balloon pops. But to be standing 2 feet from it while you're inflating it is on a whole other level.
