Ruby Jew3ls - my 2019 Audi has supposedly like 24 sonar, radar, and laser sensors to detect everything around it, including lanes, cars, pedestrians etc. It will stop if a car abruptly cuts in front of it. That being said, I’m still not ready to simply walk away and let it park itself either.

No you don’t, because if you really would then you would’ve known that that is a option that costs 1,2 k (Park Assist Paket). Not every 4m q7 has it standard, you have to spec it. I have a q7 2018 and I did not pay 1,2k just so my car can park on its own!

The car will communicate that back as an alert and you have the choice to click yes to the request to park 4miles away or come back to you. You sound like my employees, sometimes all they see are problems. Look beyond that and you'll find multiple solutions to it. Here's an example; you go to the atm to withdraw $500, but you've only got $200 in your checking account, the atm prompts you that you do not have enough to withdraw and rejects. Solution: that's were overdraft protection comes in. If you have it, the bank software will automatically withdraw $300 from your savings to cover the shortfall. Additionally your bank will send you a low balance notification to your phone number or email or however way you're supposed to receive notifications. Yep but when you choose to drive a car like Audi you already know that will cost you money (2 days ago i went at Audi garage for the maintenance of my Audi A4 it cost me 700 Euros). Now, there's lot of others brands which are cheaper (Toyota, Peugeot, Mazda, Kia,...) i mean you choose to drive with a expensive car or a cheaper one, no one force you to buy a Audi or Mercedes or Bmw...

EVTIM I think they are having enough systems, that can assure the surroundings are recognized properly. And also the system will only be activated in places that are checked and working with the systems i think.

Hopefully this will be reliable. It seems a bit too perfect - I mean the parking lot. Where I live the paint for the parking sports is often faded, or some dirt/dust can be on top of it, the road surface is not always good and smooth. I see all kinds of scenarios where this could be problematic but then again I didn't have a chance to test this system. Meybe they thought of everything :)

Maybe they did I don't know. I've seen many similar systems fail. Often times what engineers think and what marketing people do are very different things.
