Pakistan was the best team in cricket world cup 1999, only threat was South Africa which lost the semi final. Australia was far behind Pakistan in performance and quality but unfortunately Pakistan lost due to bad performance maybe due to match fixing. Saeed Anwar started beautifully and dominantly but so surprisingly started changing bat grip and soon after changing bat grip got bowled on very next ball which is the huge question mark. Other batsmen like Ijaz, Moin Khan, Azhar Mehood and Wasim Akram played poor shorts which raise a lot of questions but unfortunately no investigation done.

Pakistan also had many world-class players in their team that time, but they had no unity. One player was thinking that he is greater than another. No respect for each other and no team work. This is the reason of their downfall. Now, those players are revealing this bitter truth in social media.

Just refreshed my memory of Gilchrist's six over slips to Shoaib. Funny how our mind works I always thought the six was much straight above first slip but it was over third man.
