@@midgetman4206 its only 7 years older than the f22 raptor. Dont forget that they are constantly upgrading them. These aren't cars, its not like they can just trade them In. There are Billions of dollars that go into the R&D of these planes and for the US Military's Flagship Airplanes like the B2 Stealth Bomber, The F22 Raptor, F35, the different drones etc.. They keep them in service as long as they are still capable of holding air superiority, and if all it takes is an upgrade here and there to maintain that, then so be it. Its much cheaper and easier than having a new plane built every time one becomes a little dated. Because remember, its not like they're only replacing a few of them, they'd have to replace hundreds if not thousands of them. and even much older planes like the A10 Warthog, I believe theres still even some B52 stratofortraces still in service. They still do the job they were built for. Its mainly just the Fighter Jets that are in a constant Arms Race and are always being outclassed by other Countries, Causing the US to have to have to keep building better and better jets. Itll be drones that are done like that next.

It's not efficient at all. That wing profile is not ideal for lift, the computer has to constantly trim it, or it would fall out of the sky. It's shaped to have a low radar profile, not the best for lift at all.

It's not really about detecting stealth planes, there are radars known to detect them with different radar waves, only it won't be enough to hit it, have a lock on it.. Unless the pilots make mistakes. Also a big bomber like this wouldn't have any trouble taking out anything on the surface from far away, with hard to catch missiles like Jassm, Lrasm, Harm-er etc. @@georgemavrides3434

I was an engineering tech at another factory but I volunteered to go to avionics to help them with manufacturing process control. I worked on different stations on the assembly line until I got the process smoothed out. They had a 22 million dollar bubble I got it knocked down. They were building mostly F22 Raptor stuff at the time, sometimes we didn't know what we were building. Then I had to go back to the other electronics assembly plant and fix the Honeywell thermostats. Those guys knew nothing about the Just In Time process or anything, we were doing the 2 bin assembly method at the plant where I worked. I didn't work for the Airfore but the US Air Force bought me a scaled model of this plane for recognition, Honeywell bought me the F117, and I got them on my bookshelf with other awards for saving them millions. Setting up a barcode system between the assembly line and the stock room got rid of the 22 million-dollar bubble. I just found the problem and told them what to do. 2 days later they had it working. They were still using paper cards from the 1980s to order parts from the stock room and carrying them on foot.
