Never understood the need that mama's have to get their babies ears pierced. That baby is just as beautiful without the earrings. I had 3 girls and never pierced theirs. I just couldn't bring myself to put them through that. But everybody is different but your baby is beautiful.

Why do people pierce their baby's ears?? I feel like it's unnecessary especially when they're so young. But, no shade I doubt it will cause any damage or trauma to them or anything either. I get nervous with anything even slightly sharp around my nieces in general. 😅

They never pierced my ears when I was born. I made the decision myself on my 9th birthday, and I remember going back home crying from the pain, so I can't imagine the pain that poor baby had to go through 🥺.

I got my ears pierced as a baby, and im thankful to my mother because there is no way i would have done it now. I cant remember the pain then. And i absolutely love earrings.

it's horrible to do that to a baby so young personally i think you have to let the child choose for himself whether he wants to pierce his ears or not (me for example i made my first piercing at 8 years old)

Look up an article in wikipedia about earrings (and a paper it referrs to: "Contact hypersensitivity and allergic contact dermatitis among school children and teenagers with eczema"). All earrings contain a little bit of nickel (no matter what base metal they are made of), and kids get allergic, because of that nickel that is in earrings (a lot of the so called food allergies can be caused by those earrings done when they were babies due to nickel present in them). So although it seems that doing piercing for babies would save them from remembering the pain of doing that when they are older, that allergy problem makes it a non recommended procedure. To avoid that allergy problem someone would probably have to buy as chemically pure metal for earrings as possible, like gold, test it for nickel, if any is found give it for a chemist to purify it. Test it again, if it is nickel free, then make a custom made earrings from it. That's certainly a lot of effort and expenditures, but if you want to save your baby from earring caused allergies that is the only way (apart from not doing piercing to babies and kids at all).

What's the deal with parents getting their babies ears pierced at such a young age 🤯. Poor baby was so upset 😭. Why not wait until they are older and let them make their decisions.

You can see how much pain the baby was in the way she is shaking her hands, the woman was sticking the pacifier in her mouth when she was cry that hard and loud. When babies cry like that they can’t catch their breathe.

Parents please stop immediately putting a pacifier in your baby’s mouth when they’re hurt! Its not going to stay in anyway. It’s okay to allow them to cry, it’s healthier for them to let it out bc they’re in shock and in pain. Love on them until they catch a breath and find their bearings before trying to force a pacifier into their mouth!! When you’re devastated and need to cry do you want something shoved and wiggled in your mouth?? Of course not, so don’t do anything to your baby you wouldn’t want done to yourself🙄

My mom wanted to pierce my ears when I was a baby but my dad didn't let her, thank god😓

Piercing by hollow needle, done by a professional body piercer is less painful and doesn’t smash the ear. There is a video of a blueberry being pierced with a gun, and it literally explodes. Another one is pierced with a needle and it slides through like butter

I guess Americans hate this thing which is kind of weird cause Indians approve this a lot. Most Indian girls love earrings and we love if our parents did it at very young age itself. Because we won't hesitate and at that age it doesn't pain at all, it will be more like the feeling of slight pinching. And in case the baby doesn't like it in future, the holes can completely close in few months.

Good idea but I wouldn't recommend putting the pacifier in her mouth right away. Console her first because she just got her ears pieced. Mommy kept pushing the pacifier in. She won't take it right away because it's too painful.

I decided I wanted mine pierced when I was 6 because it was 1995, the Batman Forever movie was just released and one day we went shopping at the mall for school clothes and saw a pair of batman stud earrings and just had to have them, I cried a little at first but then fell in love with them Now with some patches of gray hair I still wear earrings, either a gold stud or silver cross. 😂

shouldn't be allowed. should be illegal. End of. its their body they should have a say whether they want a piercing or not when they can give consent themselves. They cannot speak therefore why should the parent make that decision for them when it's their body. I have a daughter and when she decides she wants piercings and can look after them thats fine until that moment i would never do anything intentionally to cause pain no matter how little just for a 'look of beauty.'
