Us babymetal fans do miss the two dearly mikio was a huge part of the group since the very beginning lets hope Yui is recovering well so she can focus on music soon as Mizuno Yui for her solo career 😊

@HOliveira Yui left in 2018 because she had a unknown illness Mikio passed away due to an injury i think

@@jesse7821 I dont know, but if you watch these videos often you can see Yui enjoying to perform less and less (not the quality but her face expressions, less smiles etc.)as the years passed by. I think she didnt feel good in the band.

I’ve seen BABYMETAL live in Philadelphia recently and Momometal actually performs very well and blends in perfectly. I think BABYMETAL is moving in a good direction overall musically. Older BABYMETAL records definitely feature more of a Kawaii vibe, where the new music has more depth and took a new direction since they’re not teenage girls anymore.

@@Snakebyte3301 -- I know, I do like Momoko too. The only thing that kept me from their show here in Pittsburgh was my work schedule. But I also wasn't fond of their set list.

They never were pure metal - they were always pop/idol songs with some metal influence. Some more, some less. Its always varied from song to song and each album being different compared to old one. They have no fixed style, that all songs follow, which allows for experentation. That leads to songs being different in their style, heavieness and quality, but allows for really good gems to exist and makes actually for a pretty good mix compared to both pure idol and pure metal bands, which often end up being 1-2 great song per album with rest being trash, while Babymetal actually manages to make an overall good albums with no really bad songs(few boring ones, but not outright horrible, like often being the case with many major band, see Korn - quality on most albums was just too different, so after x albums, you really ended up listening only to handful of songs, instead of whole albums)
