It’s nowhere near a stroke for severity but your return to judo makes me inspired to continue my own beginner judo journey. I have to stop randori for a while due to rotator cuff issues and am rehabbing my right shoulder but I will be back to light uchi Komi with a colleague on Thursday. All the best!

Welcome back! Can you please make a playlist of throws for MMA? For those of us without the time to train so much martial arts
@adwarfsittingonagiantsshoulderРік тому
There was a tutorial (two VHS of both around 50 mn) on judo for MMA by Shoonie Carter who used some judo throws that he adapted for his UFC career. They counld still be found on youtube a few years ago, now it looks like there is only a few of the individual techniques. Maybe on something else than youtube it is still possible to find those videos in their entirety. I think it was called Shoonie Carter - Throws and Takedowns.

No gi, would you grab the back of the shirt or would you just try and hold on to the back of their head, or neither? 😁 Happy to see your recovery!
@stuartpaul9211Рік тому
the judoka at my gym all seem to wear the British team uniform (some are in the team) or genuine Japanese gi which are a heavier material so harder to grip around the collar and sleave compared to a standard one. What are you grip techniques on such gi? every time I try to take hold you end up hurting your own fingers around the tips because the fabric won't gather into a usable handle.
@agaplinioРік тому
What a relief! So glad you’re ok! Please always keep chewable aspirin in your wallet and if you feel funny (god forbid) have it and wait for help! This was taught to me by a doctor!
