That's right in my area too...looks more like the latter end of a road rage incident, that crossover probably went around several lanes to get in front and then brake check and hassle them. The cammer probably did something to "earn" that response that's not in the video, but shame on that sort of driving regardless.

Two things baffle me: - You can apparently drive an uninsured Car on public roads. - People seem to cross intersections like Moses just opened the Sea for them, no checking of impact-lane (the lane that would hit you first) and then other lane.

It's not legal to drive without insurance on a public road and it's a pretty hefty fine if caught (obviously if you cause a wreck you could be liable for all the damages). If you have a lapse of insurance coverage the DMV requires you to turn in your plate, so at that point you are also driving around without valid registration in addition to no insurance.

@@chpenney26 how do you even get a number plate without insurance? Here the insurance needs to send a validation that you're insured, else you won't get plates. If you dont pay insurance the validation gets revoked and the police comes to your door the next day to fetch the number plate 🤷♂️

@@Malar1898 you can't get a plate without insurance. I'd say 90% or more without insurance have an expired plate, no plate, or stolen plate. In my state the police don't physically come to your home to seize your plate if your insurance lapses, but they will seize it if they pull you over.

@@Malar1898 You get a letter in the mail from the DMV telling you to surrender your plate within X amount of days or you will face a fine. That fine is attached to your license and whenever you go to register another vehicle, even a different vehicle you would have to pay the fine for not turning in your plate.

5:40 The silver car is absolutely at fault. For those who don't comprehend rules of the road, YOU are always under the obligation to make sure the lane is clear before entering it (which the truck DID do), and someone who is at a complete stop, changing direction of travel, and entering an existing flow of traffic has the least right-of-way in relation to any other driver.

truck driver is 100% at fault. You’re not allowed to change lanes to the right when there’s a road merging to your road. put yourself in the shoe of the silver car, you side check, see the lane is empty, then you look infront of you and go out to the road. im pretty sure as soon as the driver silver car starting looking infront, the truck driver swapped lanes. thats exactly why you’re not allowed to switch to the rightest lane when theres a road merging to yours.

Yes! If the police catch you driving without insurance, you will be fined. Do you know how many people get insurance for a month so they can get their licenses and then cancel it as soon as they get that license? LOTS!! That's why we need uninsured motorist insurance.

EXCEPT...You're seeing what happened after the car had already stalled and not necessarily the exact moment it stalled (there may have been traffic AT THAT moment) depending on when the vehicle actually stalled and when we see the accident.

80% of the value of a car older than 10 years old is easy to exceed. A 5 mph bump into the back of a 91 aerostar van I used to own got me a nice check for a better ride. It was just enough damage at the trunk latch area to not make it worth fixing, the vehicle looked fine.

I always concede right of way to trucks, if safe to do so, KEEP THOSE WHEELS TURNING. They have such a hard time winding up those elastic bands and get their trucks up to speed. You all whinge about slow trucks ...... why not help to keep their speed up. Its a win win for everyone. I see some people doing it .... BUT EVER SO GRUDGINGLY .... the horn blowing gives it away.

"WHO'S AT FAULT?" (5:22) My wife was in a similar accident last year. She, like the driver of the silver car, was entering the roadway, while another vehicle was changing lanes. My wife was ticketed because (as the officer noted) drivers already on the roadway have the right of way over those entering the roadway.

Yesterday my family, and a family friend were driving home from my brother's baseball tournament. I was asleep in the very back of my dad's car. Some idiot rear ended us going about 40. No one was hurt, thank god, but my family is really shaken and our car is totalled.

All I can say is we have stop signs for a reason. This teenage girl totaled my brand new car be cause she decided to run a stop sign. We're blessed that no one was seriously hurt. My daughter got the brunt of it. Please take your time. It's not worth anyone's life for you to be in a hurry. And turn signals their there for a reason. Please be safe out there.

Most of the dash cam cars are doing something stupid too. Doing 60mph in the exit lane next to gridlocked traffic and is surprised when someone pulls out going 5mph. Common sense is on short supply these days

I know exactly where that intersection is on I-45 near Dallas. People drive very recklessly and there are crashes up and down 45 nearly every day

@ 6:45; that's what friends are for. Who else would do this for you. And such a careful driver too -- endearingly situationally aware. They work in unison with each other and I bet they take turns driving and share a lot of interesting activities together.
