2:50 “It’s all you pepper shakers fault, Stop hitting me, this is A-salt” is the best pun I’ve ever heard. I love how canonically Salt Baker consumed the wondertart in order for the 3rd and 4th Phase of his fight to take place, and yet the soul of whichever one gets eaten is revived regardless.

My favorite part of this lyrical adaptation is how RecD gives Saltbaker a reason for why he tries to create the wondertart which was just left ambiguous in the actual game.

Actually makes sense since the townsfolk that you battle aren’t relatively good people (A cult, bandit, a Mafia, a army which means war crimes and greedy gnomes). It would make genuine sense if this was the case for his betrayal.

I like that Chalice takes issue with being called, "loyal,' and not a sap.

The part where he says "THE FLAVOR OF THE SUFFERING THE ANGUISH AND THE TEARS WILL BE MY PAY FOR THE AWFUL WAY I TREATED ALL THESE YEARS" left me stunned 4:12

For anyone who’s watched the stream, RecD said that final phase song for Chef Saltbaker, goes on for 8 minutes, but since you beat it so fast, you would never get to hear the whole thing, this is the first time I’m hearing this part of the final phase to be honest, and WOW this was a banger, big props RecD, big props.

The people behind the Cuphead Show NEED to see this! They would hire you as Chef Saltbaker, no questions asked!

I love how near the end we get both intermissions with Mugman & Saltbaker, as well as an actual motivation for why he wants to gain control of the Astral Plane (unless it was actually said in the games & I don't remember)

Love how you took the time to give him a sympathetic backstory. Phenomenal work overall, especially with the voice delivery.

I’m so glad that there’s finally a reason why Saltbaker is evil. He’s just an old man running a bakery all by himself, and the whole town is building up demand for his pastries, not caring about his stress enough to help him, or at least realize that he’s a person too, who has to take a break. Years of that can drive people to do some crazy stuff. Not to mention that this is just an amazing song overall!

Amazing job, what I love about your version of Saltbaker 1. His plan of controlling the Astral Plane is explored more and that he wants to create a baking world to rule and drown everything and everyone in Isle 4 2. He has a tragic backstory of being overworked and pushed around by the residents of Isle 4 and treated as an object than a living object 3. He has a sense of honor as he was willing to give Mugman and Chalice the wondertart after they beat him fair and square

Can we take a minute to appreciate how spot on the SaltBakers voice is?

4:49 this part really got me, with its presentation. It doesn't seem like Saltbaker chose this path for himself as much as he was pushed towards it, by a community that treated him like a machine with no regards for what he wanted for himself. Well, they sure don't get to act all surprised pikachu when that doesn't turn out well.

First off, I wanna say that the backstory Saltbaker was given honestly made me think of the backstory parts of fnf the musical (notably whitty and garcello). Secondly, the part with the wondertart flies was very unexpected and as soon as Saltbaker started describing them, I KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT (I can't get the voice acted one out of my head, please help). Thirdly I like how the subscribe song is more old timey, nice touch

Ok, listen, I know this isn't his canon backstory, but it would make a lot of sense. I personally don't think Chef Saltbaker's niceness was ever a façade.
