WBC/WBO world champion Naoya “Monster” Inoue and WBA/IBF king Marlon Tapales will collide in an undisputed junior featherweight showdown on Tuesday, December 26 at Ariake Arena in Tokyo. Inoue, already a four-division world champion, seeks to become the second fighter to earn four-belt undisputed status in a second division.
Inoue vs Tapales and undercard bouts will stream live and exclusively in the U.S. on ESPN+ in a special early-morning presentation.

Impressive skills at 20 years old. I was watching his footwork, head movement, the way he would step over and punch, the angles - lots to like. He seems to have power which completes the package. He’s going to provide us with some great fights.

Check out his fights at 115 that made him the youngest world champ. Came up 2 divisions and took a fight against former world champ Cuadras for the vacant WBC title on 10 days notice, dropped and dominated him to win. Then defended against future HOF Sor Rungvisai who knocked out Chocolatito, and stopped him in his first title defense. Defended one more time, then dropped down to 112 to become a 2 division world champ, and fighting tomorrow against the #1 guy in a unification bout. Future P4P stalwart IMO, if he gets past Edwards.

@@pollobravo5477 I thought he would win, but I wasn't expecting quite that good of a performance. When he's on, he's very good. I think his toughest test would be Junto Nakatani. Bam has crazy reach for his height. Nakatani would equal it, and he's a southpaw also, and we've seen Bam have his hardest fights against southpaws because his footwork to get to the outside doesn't work as well in open stance. He'd have to rely more on shifts and step across pivots, which take longer and are dangerous, especially against a guy with intelligent punch selection and good power.

@@maxmiddlebrough9904That's even more embarrassing. Gervonta Davis is obviously living out a career that someone else (his handlers) wants for him at this point. He hasn't really done much. He's 29 now. Even Teofimo Lopez Jr., Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson are all taking challenges and going for legacy and they're way younger too.

He is a champion at 112 lbs right now at 23, hed have to win world titles at 115, 118, 122, 126 and 130. Only way he get to 5 division world champion is if he waits for Naoya to retire. Because i havent seen anything in Bams skillset to male me think he beats innoe the kid has all the tools and is almost a complete fighter....almost. But Naoya is already a finished product but far more explosive and athleticthan Bam Bam.

So the losing opponent was named Shiloh Janielle Jr. While the commentator who likes to fill air with broad biographies and radio style trivia was reading I noticed Bam caught Shiloh 'cold' right away and it seems to jar him. From there Shiloh Janiel Jr didn't seem to recover. (and he had some moves but.. ouch)
