JJ Ambrose Absolutely no except Tim. Avi is not that good as everyone think. He's a good bass but definitely not the best and absolutely not better than Josh Turner or David Kennamer. Avi can go really low but it doesn't always sounds good because he does those low notes in first octave mostly using this growl or beatbox while Josh Turner (for example again xD) can sing a few verses in C2 and also sounds better when he goes low (Check out Josh Turner Hillbilly Squeegee) plus Josh's notes sounds more resonant than Avi's. I'll tell you what, going into high school, I never thought my voice would get lower. I was a hardcore Tenor all throughout middle school. Then, freshman year I decided to try out the baritone/bass section and I am now a full time Baritone (According to my choir director). But all of these guys in this video really inspired me to keep working as my voice was changing. I am now almost 17 and i'm happy with my lowest note being are a C2 or D2 with my morning note being around a B1. Especially with my high chest and falsetto notes, I have become very useful as a bass, baritone, or even tenor. Change is a beautiful thing I'll tell you what.

He can HIT a G-7, that doesn't say much for his vocal ability, especially because he used heavy fry. So G1 is 49 Hz. This means that G-4 would be ~1.5Hz - meaning an oscillation that repeats three times in 2 seconds. That's not a note any more, and certainly can't be heard by the human ear. You wouldn't even know whether your speakers are reproducing that note (chances are they aren't though, because most roll off around 10Hz)
@Pizik38 років тому
His note is boosted.. A LOT
@OttosAudio7 років тому
vocalnerd No, it depends on the notation you use. English or American. I always confuse the two, but in the other 'notation it would be a G-1, which is around 12 Hz, which is still possible. I've been trained since I was young, my ears have also been well trained, and I'm still young. I protect my ears as much as I can, heh. I could hear the 12 Hz note, but I had to put up my friend's extra bass headphones, turn up the EQ to a huge bass boost, then boost the bass on the amp, and then turn up the volume (which I hardly ever do..) And wow, that 12 Hz is.. Not even describable..

First, there are microphones that can pick up those frequencies. Second, no, speakers can make a frequency of 1Hz; you can’t hear it because humans are generally incapable of hearing frequencies under 20Hz; even if you could hear it, (which is impossible) it would still be very, very faint. A speaker creates such frequencies by creating a wave every second by going outwards, then back in.

@Pizik39 років тому
i dont know :D just it is :D
@MrMovie-qc2jh9 років тому
Pizik3 Dude, tim storms can sing three octaves lower than that last note!
@Pizik39 років тому
but certainly not chest
@MrMovie-qc2jh9 років тому
No idea but I think it was at .8 hz
@charlye1279 років тому
Pizik3 the last one was not modal and jd lowest notes were not modal neither he was growling in my opinion the lowest chest voice in this video belongs to Paul Davin Kennamer, avi can barely go to A1 on chest and tim can go to G1 in his low their lowest notes are growl, don't get me wrong I admire bass voices but tim and avi have a long way to go as they are still young their voice will become deeper, also in this video you should have included geoff castelluci his voice is really deep and he doesn't use growl often
@MultiKamil977 років тому
It's funny how Foust goes to F#2 which is one note higher than mine lowest F2 and when he hits this note it sounds quite high for him xD
@samidtaek_7 років тому
Nekros97 My lowest note is also F2. But I can expand it to D2
@MultiKamil977 років тому
Dimas Bagaskara My lowest now is D#2 so I keep getting better :D
@samidtaek_7 років тому
Nekros97 Mine now is C2. Keep training, it works
@MultiKamil977 років тому
Dimas Bagaskara C2 is really low. I'm jealous xD
@samidtaek_7 років тому
Nekros97 Haha that's fine. You'll get it one day. My C2 is still very rough though xD
@boscsboa84488 років тому
I believe there are a few notes marked for Storms that are in fact Gary Miller from the Vocal Union, like Storms version of Old ship of Zion
@pastelprince52698 років тому
Anyone know any other basses that can chest the double low C? I only know of Mikhail Zlatopolsky and JD Sumner
@ihyp3rate7617 років тому
I Think it's time for Tim foust to battle with Tim Storms
@OttosAudio7 років тому
iHYP3RATE Tim Foust is probably the better one. He can also sing high. And his bass notes sound fuller. Storms only uses vocal fry.
@BobbyBottleservice7 років тому
storms has a 10 octave range (the world record) and can go both higher and lower than Tim foust. also I prefer tim storms tone
@nils54826 років тому
iHYP3RATE Storms has a larger range. I prefer Foust as a singer! Does s.o. the exact range of Storms?
@sebb83475 років тому
The Dongers Tim storms highest note is A4... Tim foust can reach A5 Also... storms uses vocal fry to go below A1 so he isn’t as talented as foust I don’t think

PLEASE can someone tell me whom the singers are in the Bass Compilation?? I know Avi; and Tim but the others aren't familiar to me.
@Pizik38 років тому
Tim Storms, Paul David Kennamer, JD Sumner, Josh Turner
@wildwinkerbean8 років тому
THANK YOU!!!!
@hugotrevayne-smith40098 років тому
+Deborah Marslender Tim Foust is the only one that matters
@MichaelMisoi8 років тому
+Deborah Marslender Probably because most of them are gospel singers. Tim Storms holds the Guinness world record for the lowest voice.
@wildwinkerbean8 років тому
thank you for the info. Tim is surely blessed with that bass vocal....well; as they all were.
@grantburgessoutdoors90634 роки тому
My lowest is a Bb1 or A1 chest but it's so quiet. My highest is like b4 or c5 with chest. I know I'm not a bass but what am I baritone or tenor
@cjkoehn23517 років тому
Does anyone know the song at 11:22 where Paul David Kennamer hits the F1 sharp?

AVI KAPLAN>
@thomassiemsen8508 років тому
+Amanda Grassi-Hoying avi kaplan is better than no one? yeah he sucks i agree with you
@TheZombifiedFairy8 років тому
+Spell Check That's rude. All the men in the video are extremely talented.
@thomassiemsen8508 років тому
+Lorna Henson It's an opinion, i think he sucks and all pentaholics are retarded.
@TheZombifiedFairy8 років тому
Spell Check I mean, I respect your opinion. But it just could have been stated better. All the men on the video are insanely talented, and worked hard on their craft. I don't like some, but that does not mean I will deny the amount of talent they have or the hard work they put into their music.
@amanda-zq8mr8 років тому
+Spell Check How exactly does he suck? Since you seem to think you're a musical genius.
@jrexx28415 років тому
Lol I can't even imagine how to do that voice(the lowest one)
@muusicman20106 років тому
Tim Storm is awesome! He used to sing in a show that is about 2 hrs from me
@harvestedvoltage43242 роки тому
4:18 is a C#2 Either that or it’s a C2 that is incredibly sharp to the point where it’s almost a C#

where is Ken turner? 🙄

Ken turner?
@greckle8 років тому
I'm 11 and I can go down to F1 fried and for counter tenor I can go to G5. I don't know if this is average or not. I can go G7 whistle and around G5 or G4 for chest.

i have no training, but i just discover i am bass and that was a reason i was not able to sing anything properly earlier. i can do like A1 but thats really pushing it.
@lloydyokohama8795 років тому
So I’ve been really working on my range I’m a bass in my choir. But the top of my range in chest is typically an F# 4 on a good day an Aflat 4. Typically the bottom of my range is a D2, C2 on a good day. This video made me keep trying to sing lower, and I just hit a Bflat 1 I’m shaking
@chips60425 років тому
Damn, they keep going lower but I only hear growls or deep purring
@marciag73429 років тому
Tim Foust said that he has hit his lowest note to date in "Honey, I'm Good". Check it out.
@Pizik39 років тому
Marcia G i know about it :) it is awesome
@drewconleymusic6 років тому
2 years later he's sung A0, a full octave below the starting note of his low dip in that song

My lowest is a G1 on a good day in chest voice, still trying to figure out Tim Foust's technique for growl..... Someone message me if you know how!
