It kinda makes me sad that we'll probably never have a game like this again. The trailers, the marketing, the hype and the game itself were amazing. DICE took us to an era that no other triple-A developer dared to explore, exactly 100 years after the actual war. It also coincided with The Great War documentary, which was quite coold. I don't think I'll ever be as excited for a game as I was for Battlefield 1. I can't believe it's been 5 years already, it all feels like yesterday...

I was a Jr in HS when the beta came out. Nothing better than going home after football practice to play it. We had a winning season, this great game, and my friends were coming over like everyday, this era was peak life for me, and this game being part of that will never be forgotten

This trailer is PERFECT and I’ll tell you why. Most of the time while playing bf1 it feels like just another FPS (which is still fun). But then every once in a while you are in a situation that feels so surreal, like your team defending a position surrounded by enemies fighting bullet for bullet helping each other out knowing the only way to survive is to last until your allies push forward. Or when the battle field is chaos around you and you somehow live through all the death and destruction. All of a sudden in these moments the game feels real and you switch from just trying to get kills to the closest thing I’ve felt my mind go into “fight or flight”. After these moments are over I just sit back in my chair and feel my reality come back to me. No other game has ever made me feel this. if you have want to play for the kills, you can play any FPS game. But if you want to play for the EXPERIENCE, this is the only game that can deliver it.

I love the choice of the music how they say “we can change the world” over and over again because it’s supposed to impact how WW1 actually changed the world and paved the way for WW2 which topped it and changed the world even more

What blows my mind is the advancement of graphics and processing technology. 10 years ago if you told developers games would look like this they'd have laughed you out of the building. Looks badass.
