@@cashx370 that's because the type of people that make these games seem to think that they can please everyone, which causes them to end up pleasing no one. They want to shield certain people from negativity and make it to where people will never get their feelings hurt, but they fail to realize that those types of people cannot be ever be happy or pleased, as they are eternally miserable.

The game is still in ALPHA. Let them finish the game before adding extras like that LOL

There are some Easter eggs in the game currently, but not to the extent of old battlefields. Last season there was the box relaying a message, and now there are radios around different maps that you have to get in order, which will then give you a cool charm

​@@confucheese we should see the levels of all players. Is not the same a S233 is top leader with 50 - 8 than a level 12 doing that kind of score. In BFV I have seen a lot of these, and surprise, the low levels where hackers. Despite of that, I don't know why elements of the old scoreboards like that one are not present in this new game.

It's great what they doing atm, there is some other success stories on game rising from depths to sunlight. However i just wish Battlefield launched in amazing shape and had that vision from the start, rather than playing catch up always.

More love to DICE please for the work they are doing. Sad that one always has to acknowledge the fact that DICE messed up with this game when trying to compliment them now, but they are on a strong path to redemption and the community should be very supportive of everything they are doing! Thrilled to see year two I’d happening 👌

I prefer that they polish the maps they already have instead of adding new ones. This update seems like a step in the right direction to me. Although I think that with 128 players they should abandon the specialist skins altogether. In battlefield 4 you were never going to find someone with the same face because in (I think) all the cases had their faces covered in some way. Something similar happened in battlefield 1, where either their faces were partially covered or their faces were so unrecognizable that if two snipers were the same you wouldn't notice. But in Battlefield 2042, Specialists have distinctive faces, distinctive voices, even ways of speaking. So when you see 5 identical soldiers you realize it, and it's unsettling. (english is not my main language)

All they want is money DICE dgaf about the community or what you want.

Dice needs to cover their losses and make a brand new game. Give people who a discount voucher if they pre-ordered and try to rebuild trust

Squad UX yes! And maybe add squad spawn vehicles instead of spawning on footmen. Also make the cap times WAY longer so it doesn't feel like whack-a-mole. The maps are so big and open that it's always better to sneak through to the backlines and cap before the enemy manage to react to defend. That's not a fun game flow. Noone wants to sit back there and wait for the inevitable solo harasser with squad spawn. Possibly add a lower limit for how many is needed to cap, proportitonal to distance from closest base so it feels like a team effort and not harrassment.

Story telling is coming back but not so sure for this one.

Idk operations mode usually dies pretty early on

nothing surprising, dying player base and their gaas was not making money so that had to bend over for what us fans been wanting for years. Going back to class system is just one example.

I don't know if I really want a Year 2 to a game with a skeleton crew and 1 Map per Season though... maybe if they ramped up Contents for Seasons 5-8 as a Year 2, I would be fine. Say 2 New Maps, 1 Portal Map and 6 Guns per Season would be fine with me, but if they really think anyone is gonna play a Season 5 with no Reworks, no Portal Maps, just 1 Singular New Map, I have a feeling that they're mistaken lol

they have mentioned it so many times that they really can't do that because of the 128 player matches. They had to choose between destruction and player capacity. What ever was the "right" decision doesn't matter because they picked theirs. 128 player server capacity was their game direction. Maybe the other BF project could have the long waited destruction.

Yeah, I thought we'd get Discarded for Season 3, but I guess Season 4 will have a big Rework of Discarded and then Hourglass, I hope that Map is similar to that Shop Bundle Image of it... I'd love to see toppled buildings in the sand featuring very CQC areas, as well as very open areas and overall, just a very different layout.

@@Dukestona Well, you might be in luck, it looks like Season 3's Map will be a a new Version of Operation Metro, set in Stockholm Sweden. Temporyal, a big BF Leaker showed a picture of a Blue Cube and DICE are confirming the Map will be set in Sweden, in Stockholm there is a very artful and beautiful display of art in their Metro Station, which has a Blue Cube. Probably not a coincidence at all, sooo... New Metro! But keep expectations tempered just in case.

They hyped up tornadoes and then they basically do nothing and have no effect on the battlefield at all. They should have done unique weather for each map that actually changed it. Tsunami for one, earthquake for one that knocks buildings over. Battlefield 4 wiped the floor with BF1, BF5 and BF2042 in terms of dynamic player instigated map changes. It was awesome.

Did you see customizable squads, with the ability to join or create one? How about joining a friend through the friends list? How about larger squad sizes for 128 player mode? What still only 4 random asses where you are the only one playing the obj while your team sits in spawn in AA or tanks or god forbid, prone sniping....

@@chuy3840 Some BF games had a bad launch too and they always improve it and they did. BF4 had also a very bad launch with lots of bugs and unplayable on multiplayer for a long time and almost a year later, it plays very good. It's never too late.

@@TheRabidRaccoon compared to how boring it was at launch, it is much better. I wouldn’t say it is boring now, I’m having a ton of fun, but I will say there is still room for improvement. In short there just aren’t enough vehicles imo to make it feel like a real BF game, also they need to bring back squad support items like mortar strikes. We need a bit more chaos and explosions. They’re too focused on infantry and for a BF game that’s the wrong focus, especially with large maps, that’s what makes it feel boring, but again, it’s much better and less boring than it was.

Game is still in beta form. I will give it a try when its done.

People make mistakes, an almost 20 year BF developer team should not make mistakes. Especially ones that fans have clearly spoken about from game to game. They threw this game away for a quick buck and they won't be able to come back from this imo.
