Been playing a lot of BF1 again lately and one tiny detail I really love is the sound effect when you get a kill, I’d love to have that in the new BF :(

The Battlefield feeling is there. All I have to do in Portal is do away with those dumb specialists, turn on classes, turn off 3D spotting, turn off health regeneration, squad leader spawn only, lose whatever bullets you had when you reload. And there you go, classic Battlefield.

I can’t wait to see what Battlefield Friends gonna do in their series.

Breakaway has some Operation Whiteout vibes the aesthetic looks clean. Destruction appears to have been toned down pretty drastically to accommodate performance

I really hope they pull this off, but playing the beta felt like it needed an extra 6 months of development at least.

So stoked to see breakaway. Reminds me of Battlefront’s Twilight on Hoth map. Seems to be that they took another shot at a section that some players really enjoyed

If you look closely, in the first bit of the Renewal map clip, they used an old built of the game to make the video, since the score indicators are on the side (white text) as in the beta, rather than in the centre, as the other maps (and the other videos and newer builds).

Am I the only one that read the title and thought “Discarded maps” meant that they were gonna show us maps that they took out of the game? I was like “Why are you showing us this if they’re not in the game” 😂😂

Looks like enemy operators have different camouflage to distinguish which faction they’re on, thank God.

What is up with FPS's lately and 15 round magazines? They're always 20 round mags that randomly have 5 rounds missing. Can't have DMR's being TOO good, apparently.

Not gonna lie, I'm not thrilled about how open these maps look. I really want tighter knit maps for infantry and so many areas on these maps look barren.

Cool maps, I look forward to reviews and actual gameplay. Still want classes back and not specialists tho..but this does put a smile on my face

The coolest thing for me is to imagine Portal but have Wake Island BF3 edition with 128 players. Sounds so hectic and I would love it.

The fact is that players get flanked every time when they deployed shield on the ground.

The music for 2042 continues to hurt my ears.

I remember playing battlefield 1942 back when I was like 10. That soundtrack and the feeling I had when I played, you'll never top that Battlefield. That game was your all time best

I'd like to see the shield deployment animation from your early demonstrations return one-day. The way it looks now is a bit bland and could potentially be annoying from the receiving end. But the map designs look great! Looking forward to playing them!

I have gameplay on my channel of some of this maps. I really enjoyed Renewal since it’s basically cut in half and both sides of the battlefield play completely different. So far enjoying the game can’t wait till is fully optimized.

Hey Battlefield are some of these maps gonna have random weather changes like BF1 (fog, rain) or is the only change to weather during extreme weather events like tornadoes/sandstorms?

They need fire mode always visible on the HUD not just when ADS. And it looks like you still can't really see the red dot reticle on sights.

I cannot believe how smooth that transition from wingsuit to standing is, it’s amazing. Never seen another game do wingsuit landings that well.

I would like to see extended gameplay footage of a build that is more indicative of what we'll play at launch. Maybe something from a more recent internal playtest? I appreciate the cuts but they only show the game at its peak moments. Great for marketing but it doesn't really give us an idea of what the end product will be like. Just look at how the beta went. Transparency would go a long way here! That being said, kudos to the artists, modelers, composers, programmers, and engineers who make this franchise possible. It truly is amazing!

I am glad that we now see points in the middle of the screen when killing etc.. like in all previous Battlefields Always felt like positive reinforcement and good feedback lol

DICE really out here with 30FPS trailers so we can't make out if the game still seems so unpolished or if it's only the 30FPS...

How to make the worst battlefield game ever - Throw out the unique, beloved, and time proven battlefield formula. - implement a hero shooter formula instead - go all in on skins and microtransactions at the expense of overall content. - make sure the game is not competitive by removing the scoreboard and nerfing the point system. - make sure people can't play on their favorite maps or select map size etc (no server browser). - make sure people can't communicate with each other (no voip or all-chat) -kill the immersion by making everyone look exactly the same, like clones, and add cringey voicelines on top just to make sure the immersion is really dead. - make the maps too big and empty, with no destruction. -make sure there are very few weapons and little customization options. -dumb down wehicle mechanics so that there's no skill needed to operate them, and therefore also no reward associsted with mastering them. - add tons of bugs

Looking forward for "Renewal" & "Discarded" maps. The latter looks great for CQ.

I have a feeling in a few months after release portal mode will be played more than the other two modes combined due to the specialist system.

These maps remind me so much of BF3 and BF4. Love it.

I would really love to see more destruction, when your helicopter is shooting a wall with rockets you would really expect there to be some kind of damage to the wall even just a little bit. But it might be too late for them to make changes like this from an engine standpoint.

Maps looks like for single player gaming. Enemies looks like a dots from all ranges.

So after all that gameplay that we saw and played at beta tests, i'm kinda sure we now can't equip foregrip and laser sights at once!?

Hoping this is from an earlier iteration of the UI and they didn't revert the bf3/bf4 style points UI. That video from last week looked so good and it would be a shame if it's this "popup" style that just instantly flashes on your screen without an animation like it shows in the second clip (I know the first clip for sure is from an old build/the beta build)
