I think they heavily hinted that the next Battlefield will be set in the same world that 2042 has built. I'm guessing it's going to be a prequel set in 2020-2030ish. You're absolutely right. One of the biggest flaws of this game is that they didn't do much with the world that they've built. It's outright criminal.

i think all skins should adapt in some way to the map enviroment... war thunder does this, you unlock enviroment adaptive skins and if you're not using a specific skin the game automatically sets the skin to the apropriate one for the map

Day 1 Player here as well, hope we get enough content this Season. Since we're only told we're getting 1 New Map and 1 Rework, we might have another Season 1 on our hands and that would... definitely hurt this games playerbase a lot for the middle of the Season and would ruin the flow that DICE had going for 2042 so far. Really hoping we get some 3rd map, whether it be another New Map, a new Portal Remake, or something else.

"BF is coming back". Yeah no it's not lmao. The game still have a massive downgrade in gunplay, movement, customization and team play compared to BFV (even with the classes back), and there's barely any good destruction even on the new and reworked maps. Not to mention that 128 players absolutely kills the performance for the game while looking worse compared to BFV and BF1 most of the time. We can only hope Vince Zampella leads DICE to make it right in the next title.

@@loganheaton9213 When I first heard of Planetside 2 I thought it was so cool and wanted to check it out as soon as I could. It's like Battlefield in a lot of ways, with some differences that I thought would be awesome, though the execution wasn't that great. The game felt clunky and performance was pretty horrible... along with being riddled with microtransactions. When I saw that 2042 was going to take a direction like Planetside I was so excited. 2042 had a pretty horrible launch but around season 3 it really had a shift towards the better. 2042's execution of the futuristic theme is much better than Planetside's imo. The larger playercount in conquest is great. That's just me though. Seeing Battlefield evolve over the years with all the ups and downs has been an interesting ride, and I'm happy we're at another high point once again.

Don't get me wrong, I like 2042, but to say is providing more content that MW2 is wrong. MW2 has only been out for 4 months and it has a lot of new content (including all of its modes, I know that 6v6 content is kinda low), and compared that to 2042... Season 1 arrived after 5 months? We only got 3 new maps and a couple of reworks in 1 year... That's not enough content my friend. As I was saying, I have fun playing this game, but one of its biggest problems is content.
