EA needs Bf2042 Year 2 to build trust in the community so the next Battlefield would actually have good sales

Could you imagine where we'd be if the game was like this at launch? Hopefully they use all they've learned with this game and prioritize key elements that fans wanna see in future BF titles. Either way, the turnaround for this game has been nothing short of incredible.

This game has come a LONG way since the release. Thank you for redoing the maps to make them fun and playable, and the newer maps have the Battlefield feel that we've been asking for. And finally, thanks for the continued support post-season 5!

Honestly I have really been enjoying BF2042 these past couple of months. I was pretty sad to hear the rumor that season 5 might be the last one but I'm really excited there is still more in store as this game has made a big comeback

1. Great to hear that the game will get continued support beyond season 5. That is a great opportunity to gain back the trust of the community and honestly the game is starting to shape into something great, so keeping it up could really turn things around fpr the franchise. 2. The new stuff looks very good. Especially the new map with a completly different asthetic to the rest in the game. 3. I didnt think they could turn hourglass around and I'm still sceptical until i get to play it, but it looks like it could actually be a good map after the overhaul

Thank you dice for bringing the game back. I stopped playing soon after release, returned to the game in season 4 and its probably one of my favorite battlefields now. I'm a sucker for near future aesthetics and you guys did it pretty well. Heres hoping for a great year 2.

These new maps hit good. Whoever is doing the redesign needs one hell of a raise or needs to be a fulltime employee. These maps are finally what they should've been on release

Any plans to bring some more classic maps? I wouldn't mind seeing some Battlefield Vietnam or Battlefield 2 maps, would love to see what could be made of Operation Harvest or Siege of Khe Sahn

This is the most fun I've had playing a Battlefield game since probably BF2142 and I love how a lot of the older features are coming back like actual squad management

Still holding out hope to hear about potential future seasons. Would suck to end it here when the game is just getting good again, considering the next game is probably more than 2 years away. Also no close quarters urban map or naval focussed map yet. Wish we could get flooded London from the cinematic to combine those 2 at least.

We're all hoping that you continue the support for the game (more seasons please). Had a really awful start, but slowly it's becoming what it meant to be. Keep the good work.

After being wildly disappointed in the beta, I played Mw2 until about April. I picked up BF2042 just to see what it ended up like and ive been hooked. Finished the Battlepass in the span of 6 weeks! I am glad that this game was worked on and I hope it can recover the series. Great work!

I speak for us all when I say that a full year two would be greatly accepted. You can't kill the game now when the momentum is so real

I miss the days back in BF3 where DICE would take a risk and bring you CQ maps. Me and my friends had some of the best shooter experiences back then and to this day still try and find.

It’s night and day from when this game was at launch to now. 2042 turned to one of my favorite FPS in recent memory.

The squad management is the most important update for me. If I'm with a good squad I want to stay with that squad! Hourglass update looks much better too

My only gripe with the new map is the reused assets. I feel like I’ve seen the same pipes and rails in every other map. Other than that, everything else seems great and I’m very hyped! Hope to see more unique and distinguishable maps in the future!

Pleasant surprise to hear you guys are continuing support for the game. Recently bought it on the Steam sale and I'm pretty happy with the new versions of the game. Very excited to see better map design now that the new team is getting used to things!

The map reworks have been fantastic, and new Hourglass seems much improved (though the real problem areas were the big empty stretches between flags, and it was a bit hard to tell how much of that improved). Game has been great lately, though I do still want a more Planetside-like vehicle system (where one player stealing the team's transport and crashlanding it doesn't seriously hurt your team's chances of winning -- that doesn't happen in Planetside 2 because eventually everyone can afford to just immediately spawn the vehicle they want with their own slowly-regenerating personal resources).

This looks solid! As long as you continue the updates, I think we have ourselves a really good game on our hands! Nice work!

The changes in the maps seem to me the most important thing. Surely the ones who are going to cry the most are the Snipers who previously had their enemies without cover on the open maps

I’ve been a Battlefield fan since the beginning. It has always been the superior online multiplayer battle sim for console gamers. And this release seems to be the most reworked version yet. Every season undergoes much needed changes, listening to the gamers input, and succeeding in evolving with the needs of the battlefield community. I’ve also enjoyed the old weapon releases, map reworks, the vehicles, everything. The only thing I would ask for is more maps that involve 64 v 64 players in more game types. Conquest is fun, but what about, “disarm the nukes 64 v 64”? Full vehicles, hardcore damage, full on mil sim. Oh yeah, with Portal, I can make that game type. This game is awesome and I commend those involved in its creation and sustainment. One request: Can we make the skyscrapers more destructible? Maybe not be able to totally level them, but be able to destruct the environment down to the steel superstructure. And if you like, make the shorter buildings, 20 floors and less, level-able with overwhelming firepower after key points of the superstructure are destroyed. That may be too much to program, but it would enhance the realism greatly. You guys are easy are the crème de la crème for mil sim. Might as well kick the rest right in the nuts and maintain your dominance.

It’s really a sign that things are in a good place since everyone doesn’t even care about the season 5 stuff. They just want to know if there will be a year 2. That’s saying something. I will be very disappointed if they we don’t get year 2

Hello Dice, the work so far from season 1-4 has been good (5 is looking good from what we know) BUT it would be HIGHLY UNWISE to cease support after it. Its about TRUST if this game ends now so will any chance of people buying ANY future Battlefield games!

I heard last season that you're not adding more specialists, there's fourteen specialists in four separate classes and two of the classes have one less specialist than the other two classes, yes I'm talking Engineer and Support, this gives less focus on these two classes, which are primarily assist based; i.e repair, resupply and revives, I think if you add a specialist to the Engineer class that has a machinegun bot like the pickup in BF4, then a Support class specialist with a mortar, as the Support class has always had a mortar in every game since BF3, this would even the classes to four specialists per class for sixteen in total and give new tactics to the battlefield, I don't know what perks you could give them but theres that, I feel like not adding these or at least the mortar would be a huge loss.

you are reviving the game more and more , we are enjoying it , keep bringing more seasons and content , you are doing a good job .

I would really like to see some more old maps of BF1, BF3, BF4, i will quote some good maps that would look beautiful with the graphics of BF2042, such as Operation Metro, Operation Locker, Grand Bazaar, Gulf of Oman, Dawnbraker, Zavod, Flood Zone, Golmud Railway, Hainan Resort,Siege of Shanghai, Lancang Dam, Paracel Storm, Pearl Market, Propaganda, Amiens, Argonne Forest, Fort de Vaux, Sinai Desert. Among others, but really an addition of maps from other Battlefield would be wonderful. I would certainly spend many hours playing Battlefield 2042.

It's great how they've been striking a balance between infantry and vehicles with the new maps. Hopefully, they really go all in on the next Battlefield.

To think it took them over a year and a half for anyone to finally play this game the way it’s meant to be played is mind-boggling, I’m glad that it’s finally in playable state but man did it take sooo long. I’m glad tho but I hope I’m not the only one thinking “man, if only we had all these updates at launch (updated maps, features, etc.), just so that they can solely focus on new content… we’d have so much more by now…”

The presentation of the map reworks are great, but I would have preferred to see the change (the bridge being destroyed) in the hourglass map loading. Not so by chance that a destroyed bridge appears

Okay this is going to be the best season yet very impressive DICE content like this should be put out EVERY SEASON. I can’t wait to play!

A Hardcore match making playlist consisting of conquest, rush & tdm would also be much appreciated.

Quality of life update Recommendations: Can you please organize the Portal System better? Move all the Offical Multiplayer game modes to the front so more people PLAY THE GAME MODES. You have about 13 games modes hidden behind 4 menus so NOBODY PLAYS THEM. I bet half the player base doesn’t know that Gun Game is a 24/7 option. Or vehicles assault mode. Because the portal system makes you think all these options are temporary. Make a separate menu for community created portal game modes and Battlefield Official Experiences. If you want new players to come, and if you want old players to stay, you have to give us more to do. And you’ve already given us more to do BUT ITS HIDDEN BEHIND POINTLESS MENUS lol I love the game but this seriously needs to get fixed. Keep up the good work 🤟

It still doesn’t feel like the Battlefield franchise we all know and love. 2042 is just call of duty’s red headed step child.

It's so strange that their updates are adding mechanics that were present amd/or added in earlier entries that the community liked, things that made Battlefield good. It's very perplexing. Still, In glad they're working to "fix" things.

The "thank you" update. And it's right when the game gets interesting.... Kinda like BF5. Right when the games in a good place they cut support. And we're stuck waiting for 2 years.

I'm a little miffed they took away sundances rocket grenade like... it's already hard enough hitting arial vehicles without those flares. Plus the squirls suit midair throws were kinda cool.

the first map that looks fun to play as infrantry i miss the battlefield premium days when every 3-4 months we had 3 or more new maps ,a new gamemode or more ,4 weapons and nothing of release a alpha without campaing and battlepases

I started playing in S5. I don't get all the hate; but looking back at how far they've come I can see why. It's a phenomenal game and the most fun I've had in BF since BF3 (skipped BF4). Looking forward to Tier100 in S5 (not much time to play because of dad duties) and S6. Well done for all the work to bring this to where it is DICE (and the community for not abandoning this game).
